It's a short mix edit featuring just some of the members of Ride On bmx.
Ride On bmx is an online (facebook) group for older riders.
I started it about 5 years ago as I was sick to death of the groups aimed at “older riders” being full of crappy old school bikes and people who dont actually ride!
Today we have over 6K members and the group is usually packed with posts of older guys out there still killing it on bikes.
Here’s some blurb from the site:
Welcome to Ride On BMX.
Ride On BMX is basically a group for older riders of bmx. It’s about people in the middle of their life (ie late 30’s, 40s and so on) who ride. Simple as that.
Its aim is to bring together older riders and form a community of like minded people to inspire, encourage and motivate each other.
Whether you’re into flat, mini, street, racing, vert or whatever we’d love you to contribute.
Members can share photos and video of their riding progress, find out about events, get advice or just check out what’s happening around the world in the older rider scene.
If you’re just getting back on it you’ll get loads of encouragement and props from the Ride On community. No-one cares how good or bad you are, all we care about is that you’re still out there loving every second of it!!!
Our core members are usually riders in their 40’s but we welcome posts from our over 30’s members and we’re are obviously stoked as hell when we get the over 50’s riders posting up!!!
We want the group to be forward looking but with a respectful nod now and then to the past, so members can post up video links to classic footage from the bygone days of bmx.
We’ll also be posting specially shot interviews with older riders about their riding, life and BMX in general.
AND Ride On is the best pace to keep up to date with all the news about the Ride On sessions! These are special over 30’s bmx only events that we run across the UK (and hopefully Europe soon).
You can find out more about what’s cool (and not cool) to post on the group in the rules section (i.e No bike photos, selling of crap or BMX collector type nonsense).
Whether you’re just getting back on it or have never stopped hopefully you’ll enjoy being part of Ride On.
Simply put. It’s not about the bikes it’s about the riders.
