The 2 main tricks I have been working really hard on are The Cyborg and The 540 Nose Endo. You'll see in the video I am making progress but I am no where near where I want to be on these tricks. That's where the practice comes in. I am really stoked on the progress I have made though. In the beginning of the video I actually nail the 540 and I am starting to get the hang of the Cyborg.
Anyways, Dylan and I are both really pumped on our new Sponsors we just started working with. And as you can tell from the thumbnail, it is Etnies Shoes and SE Bikes! You will see in the video more details but essentially, Etnies is providing us with tons of their awesome riding shoes and shirts. And then Toddy Lyons and the SE Bikes Team hooked me Dylan and Pat up with some Fat Rippers.
The Etnies shoes are amazing to ride in and provide excellent grip on the pedals while also providing protection to your toes and ankles. The Fat Quad by SE Bikes on the other hand is an absolute Unit of a bike and rides like a tank. So much fun and it can go over anything. It's a very smooth ride as well. Anyways, I dont want to give away too much before you watch the video.
Before I go I want to give one more huge thank you to Todd Lyons and the SE Bikes team as well as John Povah and everyone over at Etnies! Oh ya and Mike Buff cause I am getting his Fat Ripper Bike. With out all of your support, Dylan and I wouldnt be able to make all this happen so THANK YOU!
You want to give them a quick sneak peek of the 540 nose endo? I can't do the 540 yet. You are close though. Can we see where you are at? Okay. That was a 540! Yeah what are you talkin about you can't do it? It spins better on this ground. That's it, okay well that might be one of our future tricks.
That was cool. I want to get that really dialed in. What? What happened? What do you mean? I thought I heard you say something. Oh that was perfect. You want to come talk? Hold on. right here? A little further away actually. Yeah that is good. That's good? Yeah.
So, this is actually the first time I rode since we found that 180 slide. But, yesterday I rode for like 5 minutes and I just got these Etnies Shoes, They are sending us shoes now. Thank you John. John Povah hooked us up. And these things are way stiffer than my running shoes, I don't run I just wear them because they are light. But I haven't ridden in a while, just working and stuff, and I put the Etnies on and the first half lash I tried I pulled.
And that was right after coming off the big bike. The SE monster quad come on my bike felt weird and I don't know but maybe there is something to the. They've got these Michelin soles on here, yeah, and it seems to be just stiff enough. I mean you still feel everything but ah man I feel pretty good for not riding for a week or so. And yeah they are comfortable too. They are really comfortable.
In fact, I put them on and Dylan asked me hey did you wear your Etnies shoes, and I had to look down because usually when you put on new shoes you know it because your feet are all tight and sweaty and everything. These things were comfortable right out of the box. Yeah. Yeah very cool. Should I talk about the SE bike. Yeah sure. So you guys know this, Todd Lyons is hooking us up with three well to monster quads, fat fat quads. It's a big difference. Fat quads. And then I am getting a Mike Buff fat Ripper. Mine gets here on Wednesday.
So we got the fat quads, and you know I thought they were just bikes with fat tires. I did not know there was all of this, the hubs are super wide. The cranks are wide. It's, that's like a oh, it's a real bike, and it is built for what it's built for you know, which is pretty much anything. Yeah. And man I'm telling you you just look at that bike and you feel like you can go over anything with those big tires. It's just like, I only got to write at once about 5 minutes, but man I've got all kinds of ideas for that bike. But it is fine and it's really cool. It's smooth too. It's smooth oh, yeah and it just feels good. I am also writing, I rode my general this morning for a few minutes and it actually feels really good.
The balance point feels really good and I am like jeeze this is going to screw me up good. but it looks good it feels good and it's working great oh, it is solid and I never thought it was going to be that solid but it is. So we are going to have a shootout, not a shootout but a comparison between my S&M and my general, my 87 general. Actually it is Eric's but just to see what the different geometries are like you know. What's the advantages and all that stuff oh, so that is coming up.
