The first in a series that takes the Monster Energy Street riders around the world this year. The kick off of the Monster Cash Up tour took place in Amsterdam with street rides in Cologne, Copenhagen, San Diego and Sydney to follow. The Amsterdam edition started at Soulcycle BMX shop and took 300 BMX-ers around town to rails, ledges, a curved wall, banks and gaps. If you felt like sending it, you could. If you wanted to chill, there was no one who would say anything about that. As you guessed it, cash was handed out to riders doing something good. Cash is king. Everyone loves cash and if you wanted to make your money back that you spent on getting to Amsterdam, you better send it. With Monster Street pros present such as Alex Donnachie, Jordan Godwin, Dan Lacey, Felix Prangenberg and Lewis Mills it was just cool riding from spot to spot.

Last weekend Prague hosted the Coolife fest event, during which the Czech Republic BMX miniramp championship took place with the participation of foreign racers. The miniramp was placed on a pontoon in the middle of the Vltava River and thousands of visitors came to watch this unique show. The whole event was eventually won by Ukrainian Red Bull rider Yurii Illuschenko, followed by local Miki Hovorka, who also became the champion of the Czech Republic. Third place went to Californian BMX superstar Pat Casey, who also won the Skoda auto best trick for 180 double tailwhip over spine to fakie frontflip. BMX was part of this festival for the second time and we hope that next year we will be able to attract other big names! (the production of the race was handled by Remarkable agency, which previously organized the BMXtreme fest event)
In addition to BMX, the event featured many other extreme sports, a concert of rappers and an after party on the boat. Besides the race itself, there was also a three-day video shoot with Pat Casey around the best spots in the Czech Republic, so you can look forward to a great video edit soon.
PRO final results:
1 Yurii Illuschenko 86,00
2 Miki Hovorka 79,67

Penultimate day of this 26th edition of FISE Montpellier. If the public is even more numerous and warm at the end of the week, the weather was a bit capricious and forced the organization to slightly revise the weekend program. But the motivation of the athletes, more than ever palpable in these days of finals, has thwarted the vagaries of weather to bring the intensity of the sports show that the public comes to seek each season during the weekend of the Ascension on the banks of the Lez.
The UCI BMX Freestyle Flat Men's World Cup qualifiers were split between late afternoon yesterday and this morning to avoid the showers. 33 riders were at the start and the overexcited atmosphere contrasted with the sky, for the "darlings" of the FISE operating for the most part in this discipline.
The talent and the support of the public allowed the French riders to get no less than 6 of the 16 places available for the semi-final! Among them, the very young Norman Julien Baran who, at 17 years old, created the surprise by finishing 5th of this qualifying phase, 1st Frenchman in front of the nonuple world champion, Matthias Dandois, who finished 9th. Alex Jumelin, Joris Bretagnolles, Anatole Rahain and Jérémy Brosset completed the group, leaving behind big names in the discipline such as Germany's Dustin Alt and England's Lee Musselwhite.
The 16 qualifiers will meet at the end of the afternoon on the Flat area for the semi-finals which will see 8 of them going to the final tomorrow.
Unleash the Beast in France! Monster Energy congratulates team rider Anthony Jeanjean on taking second place in the BMX Freestyle Park competition at the FISE Montpellier 2023 festival in France. In front of a stoked crowd, the 24-year-old Olympic athlete from Béziers, France, secured his podium spot in the competition sanctioned as a UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup on Saturday.
In Sunday’s BMX Park Best Trick contest, 28-year-old Kevin Peraza from Tucson, Arizona, stomped a massive technical trick to claim second place in an elite field.
From May 17-21, FISE (Le Festival International des Sports Extrêmes) returned to Montpellier by the River Lez with a stacked roster of action sports events. Started in 1997, every year, the competition attracts close to 2000 athletes competing in BMX Freestyle Park, BMX Flatland, Skateboarding, Scooter, Parkours, Breakdance, and more disciplines.
In Saturday’s BMX Park Final, an elite roster of 24 riders competed on the obstacle course designed and built by expert park creators Hurricane. The stakes were high: Riders not only had a chance to score points for the FISE World Series but also the UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup, as well as Olympic qualifiers for Paris 2024.
