The Ramp Rats Bike and skatepark in  Petaluma, California are inviting to a Spring BMX contest.  It doesn't matter what level you r riding's at, there is a class for you.

Ams pay 25 bucks to enter and they can win some great prizes from some of the sponsors of the event.  They've actually lined up a whole posse of  good companies to support the Ramp Rats contest such as 2-hIP,  661, Props, FIT, Animal,  System,  BlackOut, S&M and  Kink. 

Pros pay 50 bucks to enter and there's 100% payback so the more pros that enter, the bigger the purse without the organizer putting dough in their own pockets.

Contests are fun.  If you're down in Norcal, check in at Ramp Rats on the 25th. 

We're happy with the answers on the most recent poll on FATBMX.com. It showed that you don't need the shit talking on this site through chat rooms and forums. It also showed that you don't need a myspace.com/fatbmx site. We didn't listen there and saw that the URL was still available. Webmaster Jos got to work and within 30 minutes he hooked it up. Even though myspace isn't our thing, it doesn't hurt to do some FATBMX promotion on a website that has over 60 million members. www.fatbmx.com is and will be the real deal so make sure to bookmark it.

I've been up for long time now drinking coffee, chewing gum and listening to The Big Boys 'Lullabies help the brain grow' LP for inspiration (R.I.P. Randy Biscuit Turner). So finally after 15+ months of pure neglect I have got around to updating/redesigning my site ...If someone treated their kids like I treat my website social services would have taken them away by now! In the meantime I'd like to thank 'you' for checking it out (if you decide to!), Thomas Fritscher for kicking my ass in gear and doing a stellar job helping to redesign/programme my site, a big thank's to Ed Docherty for letting me use his excellent camera illustrations as well as everyone else who is a decent human being ...even if it's not hip this year. We're still freezing our butt off here but in two weeks time we'll be shredding the Sugar Hills trails at the Valkendijk in Aarle-Rixtel, The Netherlands. For the umpteenth time (sorry, lost count) we're opening the BMX outdoor season with a session at the longest going trails in Holland. The weather has always cooperated so why not this time. Don't forget to bring your shorts, barbeque and sunglasses. I hope we're not pushing it too much.

VANS have been a proud sponsor of the FATBMX site from the start. On our recent trip to California we stopped by. Mike de Wit took some time off his busy schedule to show FATBMX around. We peeked in the design department (sorry, no pics), walked the hallways, stopped by the warehouse, had a quick look at Steve Van Doren's office (looks like a Hawaiian BBQ in there), found some empty seats where Jerry Badders and Peter Dericks were supposed to be working, checked the showroom and then went across the street to visit the shoe design department. We saw some really good stuff there but again, no pics allowed. 

Yo dudes what up? I did a photo shoot 4 "INKED" magazine tha other day which BOOST MOBILE hooked up 4 me. It's a dope ass high fashion tattoo lifestyle magazine, cool shots, here R a few, it's crazie cause I have never been N a tattoo mag B4, tha mag is another way 2 expand what I do which is 2 also promote tha lifestyle of action sports N every way.

Just a short note on some update on the boys:

 • There is a really nice and rocking trick footage of UK Eastpak pro Ben Hennon at Backyard Jam in the latest Props Video #59

 • Alex Jumelin impresses everyone with a really good double page full shot picture taken in Berlin. See that pic in the latest  Freedombmx magazine #68

 • In DIG #51 is a report of the Carhartt roadtrip from Basel/SW to Rome/IT our friend Stefan Lantschner set up last year. Also Eastpak riders like Hannu Cools and Niels Thanild went on that trip and proof it with nice pictures in DIG.

 • Our friends at FATBMX are rockin´ and will be "traveling with style" in 2006.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. DIGBMX have finally got a new website up and running. Don't expect all sorts of comps for free products or a message board where you can spout off about who you think is better than your friends at riding though. The newly revamped Dig website is basically an extension of the magazine. It's loaded with overspill (photos and content) from the actual magazine, a rundown of the current issue on sale, a new web zine section, music reviews with links to MP3s, a Repo section, links and event listings.
