On Sunday, the rain forced the ABA to change to 1 main event for the AA Pro, but Kyle didn't change his style, with another impressive AA main event win. It looks like all the hard work and determination after Kyle's knee surgery has paid off, as he now looks to be very close to taking over the Pro points lead in both the ABA and NBL.
Randy Stumpfhauser has never raced Rockford as a AA Pro. Randy usually volunteers a week during each summer to be a camp consular near his home and it seems to always fall on the Rockford weekend. This year it didn't and massive amount of Stumpy fans, as well as Randy were happy that it did not. On Saturday, Randy was one of the fastest looking riders all day and when the main events came, he didn't slow down. In AA Pro, Randy was one of the few riders to get close to Kyle's back wheel and finished up 2nd overall. In Pro Open, Randy took the lead from the gate and didn't have any one contest him as he took the win wire to wire. Sunday wasn't as good for Stumpy, as he rode a bit cautious in the AA semi in the slick conditions and missed the cut. Don't fret Stumpy fans, he will be back in the winners circle soon, and looks towards the NBL South Park, PA National and UCI event in 2 weeks to do so.
