The World Cup is the main qualification events for the 2012 London Olympic Games. Fans will get a preview of the official 2012 Olympic track from London on August 21on NBC. This event will serve as the only opportunity for BMX athletes to compete on the Olympic track before the London Games. “I’m excited about this agreement with Universal Sports and NBC, enabling us to bring BMX and the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup to wider TV audience in United States,” says Johan Lindstrom, CEO of Global SX Events managing the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup. “Many Americans grew up riding a BMX bike and this will certainly be something they will enjoy watching on TV.”
