Defending world champion Liam Phillips of Great Britain thrilled his home crowd by winning the men's final. Anthony Dean (AUS) finished second and Tory Nyhaug (CAN) took third to join Phillips on the podium. 
Other U.S. riders in the elite men's divisions were Corben Sharrah (Tucson, Ariz./Haro) and Jared Garcia (Victorville, Calif./SupercrossBMX.com) tied for ninth place, Barry Nobles (Sun City, Calif./DK Bicycles) in 13th, Steven Cisar (Altadena, Calif./Avent Bombshell) in 17th, David Herman (Wheat Ridge, Colo./ Free Agent/Rockstar) in 21st, Tanner Sebesta (Austin, Texas) and Collin Hudson (Longmont, Colo./Redline Bicycles) tied for 33rd, and Sean Gaian (Santee, Calif./Factory GT Bicycles) in 49th.
