BMX Race Ljubljana is a traditional stop of the dr. Auer Alpe-Adria BMX cup, in fact the race is going to be a season opener for the series that connects venues in Italy, Austria, Hungary and Slovenia. Top European riders will visit Slovenia with Sunday's race on their minds, the UCI C1 race with great prize money and live stream. Best riders in the race will also get valuable UCI points that help in the qualifications race for the upcoming Olympic Games.
Addition to the race is the KoloPark Cup event at the pump track Aleja in Ljubljana. The event is primarily organized for kids and youth that would like to experience the competitive side of cycling, but it’s also open to riders with licenses. Event ambassadors are Jaka Remec and Boris Režabek.
Main sponsor of the race is City of Ljubljana, other sponsors and partners are Zavarovalnica Triglav, Sinter, Unior, Factory Store, Bičikleto, Extreme Vital, Bikehanic, Casio, Lumar, Nutrispoint, Liquishot, media partner mtb.si and Slovenian cycling federation.
