The National Bicycle League has been approved to be a partner in Disney’s Give A Day, Get A Day program. As a result, persons who wish to volunteer one day at a pre-approved NBL National or Regional event can receive a free day’s admission to a Disney theme park. Disney wants to inspire one million people to volunteer a day of service to a participating organization in their communities. Disney is celebrating these volunteers' good works by giving each of them a 1-day, 1-theme park ticket to the Disneyland® Resort

VANS is proud to announce the 2010 line up of the EMEA Bmx Team. There wont be any major changes, even the names you cant read for 2010 will still remain in the VANS family but moved spots to a different base. You guys know who you are and VANS cant thank you enough for reppin´strong in the EU team.

Name: Harold “McGoo” McGruther

Occupation: I’m the founding partner at Revolution Advertising, a creative services agency that caters to the BMX and motorcycle markets. We’ve been working on BMX accounts big and small since I founded the agency in 1991. In ’99 my partner Bill and I founded SNAFU with my old friend Sherry Shu in Taiwan. More recently our agency launched an online media resource for the underground chopper scene called ChopCult.com. 

This Sunday a killer trails comp is on the program over in Colombia. Alejandro Caro has invited his buddies Patrick Guimez, TJ Ellis, Brandon Dosch, Anthony Napolitan and many more for a good time. The trails are looking great so you can expect the riders to go Upside Down. More pics of the spot + contest poster after the jump.

“About 6 months ago I reached a point with riding that it just didn’t feel the same as it used to. Although its been a dream come true and I would never trade any of it, I’m certain it’s time for me to move on. I was raised on a family farm and enjoyed it as a kid, but lost interest as I grew older and found other things. Well a couple years back I started to find enjoyment in the goings on of it again and began to read and learn about it. I’ve been able to meet and work with many area farmers and found an entire world of ideas and opportunities to explore. My family has allowed me to lease a small 17 acre field on our farm and I’ve begun implementing my ideas for responsible, respectful and productive food growing. I hope to grow (but not too big), either on our farm or on my own somewhere else in or around my hometown of Lancaster, Ohio.

I still love riding, and will continue to ride, just not in the same way as I have for the past 4 or 5 years. I appreciate the kids that have had nice things to say online and in-person, and I’ve had an awesome time
