USA Cycling announced today the nine athletes it will send to round two of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup in Copenhagen, Denmark, May 7-8.
The Copenhagen Supercross World Cup is the eighth event that factors into the 2010 USA Cycling BMX Power Rankings. The final race that will factor into these rankings will be the UCI BMX World Championships in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa on July 31.

The first rounds in the Junior and Elite European Championship were held in Besançon, France. It turned out to be a wet and freezing cold weekend, with lots of wind. ONE/Kenda’s Aneta Hladikova from Czech Republic did very well on both days with a 3rd place on Saturday and Sunday in Elite Women. Simone Christensen

These past few weeks have been filled with excitement disappointment and whole lot of other emotions for me. But all in all I am glad to say Im happy to be back on the gate with my past present and future competitors. My journey started in Madrid Spain two weeks back where the first round of the UCI BMX SX World Cup series was held. At the SX round must have been the deepest field of talent I have seen to date and I knew from the get go that it was going to be challenging. The track was pretty technical, high speed and a new selection of jumps they were trying partnered with the cream of the crop field of riders it was always going to be a tough first race back after 8 months.

Practice on the first day went well I felt comfortable on the track and the gate, I was just so pumped to be on the track again riding and enjoying being at a big race since I had missed out 8 months of it. The following day we had time trials where I road a clean lap not

It's the week before our first BMX national of the year being held at Giba Gorge. To start off the season a pro shootout was held tonight on the newly built track. I have heard there are close to 300 entries for the national this Saturday which might not seem like a lot to other countries, but it's definitely a good turnout for South Africa. In fact it's the highest number of entries in quite a few years which is great for the health of the sport. A meeting was held before the shootout in regards to Worlds coming up here later this year.
