Covert frames review

We received two Covert frames in the mail here at FATBMX.com. On opening the box we were a little surprised on the design of the frames. The Psyops resembled of a Menstrual bike with the pierced head tube. Maybe Keith Treanor is heading the product development department at Covert these days. We doubt it.

The Psyops and Ghost Recon frames are hand built in China and weigh 1.89 kgs (for the Ghost Recon) and 1.93 kgs for the Psyops. This is extremely light but the material used isn't Supertherm triple butted 4130 cro-mo but China Aluminium.

For $ 149,= USD retail (Frame AND Fork), it's hard to expect more. Throw $ 100 bucks extra in Covert's lap and you get a complete BMX bike. Okay, you got it, this isn't a high-end frame we're talking about here but more like a mass product to get kids, who don't have a clue about BMX, onto bikes.
