When Nike introduced the Primo iD Shoe customization last summer we, along with the rest of the BMX media, got to design a pair of shoes ourselves. With the fresh victory of Holland against Brasil, the idea was to add a bit of an orange flavour to it. But there was no orange and the closest thing to it, according to the Nike 6.0 personnel present, was this neon pink-ish. Well, when the shoes arrived a few months back, it was pink indeed.

We've been wearing the shoes from time to time and we must say that they're super comfortable and exactly the way we chose them to be (apart from the orange of course).
The iD program lets you choose between a flexible or grip tread, hard or soft traction, a regular or FAT tongue and collar, it's got the choice of suede, mesh, coated leather or printed leather with graphics for base, plus you can choose between a shank (stiff) or no shank (flexible) sole. Then there's the choice of cupsole or

autoclave style midsole, a choice of grid, haystack, honeycomb or landscape graphics with printed leather base option. To top it all off you can have your own name of message embroidered on the back. We chose a black on black FATBMX message.
The idea of knowing there is not going to be any person on this planet with exactly the same shoes on is pretty special. If you've never been satisfied with any shoe you tried, maybe you should give this Primo iD shoe a shot. It doesn't get more custom than this. Your feet will thank you.
