Modifications: My teacher welded my cable stop onto the frame because I pull my brakes hard. I always cut the flange off of my left grip.

How many rims have you killed doing hang ups?
Zachary Newman: Actually none. I don't like working on my bike except for when I need to true my wheels. Got to stay rolling straight.

How much pressure do you use to tighten your stem bolts?
Zachary Newman: Crank it down. 1 million newmanmeters

How much pressure goes into your tires?
Zachary Newman: Typically I put about 90-100 but that slowly leaks out and I can run as low as 75 psi.

If you’re going on a trip where you’re not going to ride any vert, what do you change on your bike?
Zachary Newman: Nothing at all. If anything just tire pressure. I go straight from the U-track to the streets.

Something rattles, what do you do?
Zachary Newman: Hope it doesn't break while I'm riding.

What kind of (tire) pump do you use?
Zachary Newman: It's a wrench force pump. I think it's Specialized brand. I pumped up a flat car tire with three pieces of metal in it with this bad boy.

Is your toolbox well equipped?
Zachary Newman: Oh yes. I've been collecting the necessary tools since I've been riding. I also work at a Bicycle shop (Reser Bicycle Outfitters, Newport KY) where I can use those tools.

What tools do you take with you when you’re traveling?
Zachary Newman: I've got a DK random Wrench with a few different Allen wrench attachments for my American made stuff. IT's nice and confined.

Who are hooking you up to keep your bike rolling?
Zachary Newman: The only thing is my work schedule. I'm currently accepting offers.
