When was the last time you had a completely new bike?
Tom: The last time was about 4 years ago. That was a wethepeople complete bike. My first real bmx bike.
Next to all the Eclat and FIT parts there is not much left for any other brands. Are you stoked on the new sponsorship?
Tom: Yes, I'm very stoked with my new bike. Thanks to Eclat, FIT and of course Paul de Jong
You took the bike for a first ride last night. How did it feel?
Tom: It feels a little bit different because the rear-end length is a bit smaller. It spins a bit faster than my old frame but after one session it feels very good.
What minor changes are you going to make to it? Tom: The length of the bar is shortened a few centimeters from 29 inch to 28,3 inch because 29 is a little bit too wide. My old bar was also 28,3 inch and this feels very good.
Do you care much about the weight of the bike?
Tom: Not very much but you must find a balance in weight, not too heavy but also not too light. I liked that my new bike has nearly the same weight as my old one.
What's your favourite part on the bike?
Tom: The new wheels because they roll very fast and smoothly.
