Modifications: Cut 1 inch off my bars on both sides, put skateboard grip tape on my pegs. That's about it.
Weight: I have no idea, and I don't care about it. Maybe around 10 kg?
What do you change on your bike if you want to go from Flatland to ride street for a few weeks?Matthias Dandois: I ride street and flat with the same bike, I just have two different sets of wheels (one with small tires and high pressure to ride flat and one with big tires and low pressure to ride street)
Don’t you miss having a flat, low, bend tube crazy looking flatland specific frame?Matthias Dandois: Fuck no, it just doesn't look like a BMX bike anymore and it doesn't help riding wise, so why in the hell having a weird looking bike?
Parts you go through most often?Matthias Dandois: Definitely spokes. Everyday ahah
Who are some of the people who hook you up with parts when you need them?Matthias Dandois: Frenchys Distribution, La Cremerie BMX shop, Odyssey and Haro.
You travel so much, how do you keep your bike running smooth after taking it apart so many times?Matthias Dandois: My bike always has the gnarliest paint scratches and is always a bit loose from all this traveling but I kinda like it the way it is. I use a super small bike bag when I travel so airplane companies don't charge me, so I have to unbuild every single part of my bike. Everyone is making fun of me about it but I like it like that! ahah
Do you care about the looks of your bike?Matthias Dandois: Yeah of course. If I don't like the way my bike looks I'm not gonna be motivated on riding. I like sketchy looking bikes tho, so it helps ;)
Are you picky on how it rolls?Matthias Dandois: I'm the worst when it comes to bike maintenance. My wheels are always bent as fuck cause I can't use a spoke key and make them right. It's always crunchy caus
e I don't wanna use grease and its always loose cause I don't know how to fix the gap in my wheels. It's been like that for years, and it will still be like that in the future. This is how I roll.
What tire pressure do you run. Does it differ for riding flatland or street?Matthias Dandois: 5 bars when I ride street and 8 bars when I ride flat. Can't do gaps with tiny-high pressurized tires ;)
