You always seemed to run chrome rims. Now you've changed to black. Why the change?
DMC: I've run chrome rims since the early 80's for better braking, but in recent years I've felt my brakes often work too good. For now, the switch to black rims has worked out.
I noticed a screw in the seatpost. Can you explain?
DMC: With all the travel I do, it makes setting my seat at the same height easy.
The HARO Lineage frame and parts seem to be a perfect fit for you as you were there for the first generation of those parts as well?
DMC: The Lineage parts line is high-end, functional and clean looking without gimmicks - a continuation of what the Haro brand has always stood for. The frame is dialed - built with modern day specs for today's rider, along with the wrap-around head tube gussett you could find on the late 80's Master frames I used to ride. It's cool to ride a frame that can constantly evolve with the times, while including a small reminder of where it came from.
Any shout-outs/thanks you want to mention?
DMC: A big thanks to everyone at Haro and Vans and to Steve and Kristy Van Doren, Badders, Paridy and crew for being a blast to work with at comps.
