When did you hear FreeAgent wanted to hook it up?
Andrew: I good friend of my Jared Eberwein, rides for them and recently became the FreeAgent TM. We were talking one day and he mentioned that they were hoping to add some more people to the team for 2015. I said I would be into it, and it just went from there. I'm super excited about it!
What made you decide to pick this specific colour for the frame?
Andrew: I just wanted something different than the bike I was previously riding, which was flat black. I got the frame powder coated at a friend of mine's shop. Stoked on how it turned out! When I first picked up the frame from the shop, the color looked a little lighter than I was expecting, but once I put it together I was really happy with it.
Parts you go through most often?
Andrew: Tires and pedals for sure. Those still usually last me a good while but compared to anything else, those are definitely replaced most.
Do you have any parts sponsors that help out to keep the bike in top shape?
Andrew: Demolition hooks me up with everything I need to keep my bike running perfect. Super thankful for that, really stoked on all the parts I am currently running and have ever run of theirs.
When she's dirty, do you clean her?
Andrew: I do. I wish I didn't care how my bike looked but I do haha. I like to have it clean and looking fresh.
Are you picky on how it rolls?
Andrew: Ya I suppose so. I hate having anything loose or rattling around. Like to keep the chain tight and my brakes feeling good. I have brakes on my bike about 95%, I just built this bike up the other day though and was too excited to ride it right away to spend the time putting them on properly. They will be on pretty soon though.
What tire pressure do you run?
Andrew: Try to always keep it at 80psi. For me, I find that's a good pressure for riding all the things I like to, cement bowls and trails.
What are the modifications you made to your bike?
Andrew: I cut my bars down always. I don't like super wide bars. I like to make mine 27" wide. Also, like I mentioned before I cut my grips down too. I make it so they are pretty much just the size of my hand. Cut the steer tube of the forks down too, so it's flush with the top of the stem. Other than that, everything else is all stock.
Thanks to: Free Agent, Jared and everyone over there, looking forward to the rest of 2015 with them. Brian at Demolition, thanks for always keeping my bike dialed. Everyone I ride with in Canada and down in California. Heath Pinter for all he's helped me out with the past couple years. Thanks a lot to FATBMX for wanting to check out my bike!
