- In other words, if you change the seat angle of the 21” New Deal to 71° (instead of 70°), the top tube would become 20,7” long. Conclusion: the New Deal has a 21” top tube with feelings of a 20,7”/20,8” frame and more room between the seat and the handlebar. Same situation for the 20,7” New Deal frame which is similar to a normal 20,4”/20,5” frame. Same situation for the 21,4” New Deal frame which is similar to a normal 21,1”/21,2” frame.
4 MM DROPOUTS: The New Deal is a all around pegless frame. Dropouts are 4 mm thick, small and heat treated. Perfect for pegless riding. You can ride the New Deal frame with pegs. HOWEVER, Superstar can not assume any warranty on dropouts if you ride with pegs. For the simple reason that we did not test the New Deal with pegs. The alternative is the use of Superstar Micropegs. We invented these Micropegs first. Then we decided to make a frame designed especially for the pegless rider.

New lighter head tube:
Our new heat-treated head tube is much slimmer than before: O.D. 38 mm in the center. Campagnolo style, with removable tabs holes.
New lighter bottom bracket:
Our new heat-treated bottom bracket shows a slim profile outside with ultra-thick edges to prevent from ovalising.
BB height: 11.5’’.
Laidback seat tube angle: 70°
The frame feels 0.3 inch shorter in order to have a really responsive bike.
D-shapes chain stays:
Our specific heat-treated chain stays have a flat wall on the inside for big tire clearance. A really small radius on the outside gives a similar dent-proof chain stay than a thicker round tube.
