You like to change things up with your bike from time to time. What made you decide to go for a chrome one?
Daniel Wedemeijer: My last 2 bikes were black Haro's. I changed the color of stickers every time to have a new look on the bike. With a new bike coming up I started thinking which color to pick. Than I was talking to Paul de Jong about it and he was the one who mentioned chrome. Once, I told myself that I was never going to ride a black or chrome frame... But now I can take that off the list as I can't even describe how stoked I am on the new bike.
You've been riding HARO Frames for a while now. Why did you pick the Lineage frame?
Daniel Wedemeijer: My first Haro frame in 2014 was the SDv2 and I loved riding it. But than I off course also wanted to try the Haro Lineage. For me it doesn't feel much different but I do like the Lineage more. It's strong, perfect dimensions and it's good looking overall.
What parts do you go through most often?
Daniel Wedemeijer: It's not one part I run through the most, it changes every time. I had a time this year where I broke a couple handle bars (not Haro) and a lot of flat tires. I am pretty good in destroying back wheels as well.
Who are some of the people who hook you up with parts when you need them?
Daniel Wedemeijer: First of all is Paul de Jong from Paul's Boutique BMX shop in Aarle Rixtel, The Netherlands. He helps me out with all the parts I need and besides that, he is also the one and only who is allowed to build my bike and work on it. You can only trust the best for that!
For all the Haro products it's Louis Verwimp supporting me whenever needed.
Do you have any spare bikes?
Daniel Wedemeijer: My black bike with pink stickers is still allive as a spare bike. I always keep my old bike complete as a spare one. Then I also have my Haro SDv2 still complete and with a frontbrake on it. I love playing arround with the frontbrake. Hope to bring it to my daily bike sooner than later.
Are you picky on how the bike rolls? Do you fix things immediately when something is loose for instance?
Daniel Wedemeijer: I am not as picky as some people I know but yeah I do fix something immediately when it's loose or broken. But when my brake is feeling a bit sketchy or something like that I finish my session first.
What tire pressure do you run?
Daniel Wedemeijer: About 7 BAR / 101 PSI
How long do you need to take your bike apart and put it in your golf bag when you fly to the next event?
Daniel Wedemeijer: On a average that would be around 10 minutes. My record is something like 3 minutes as I didn't wanna miss my flight.
What are the modifications you made to your bike?
Daniel Wedemeijer: Nothing at all... Everything as easy as possible.
