Innovations Tire Repair & Inflation Wallet Set
was sent to the FATBMX office a while ago and we gave it a test when I ended up with a flat tire after a short MTB trip on my HARO V4.
This set contains:
1 Microflate CO2 tire inflator
2 Tire Levers
1 Small patch kit
2-16 Gram Threaded C02 Cartridges
1 padded nylon case
I didn't even see the flat tire but my friend Frans is the Flat tire King and spotted it right away. Of course it sucks to have a flat tire and it is even worse if you are in the middle of nowhere so here this set from
innovations helps you out to get home.
The patch kit with glue is like every other repair kit and works just fine, the tire levers are plastic to save your tire and rim but with ultra thick tires like BMX Streettires it will be a struggle to get them off the rim.
The Microflate CO2 inflator is easy to use, just fix the adaptor on the valve and insert the CO2 Cartridge and twist it, if you Unscrew the Cartridge the tire will be inflated, The 16 gram Cartridge got my MTB 26" tire to 2 Bar just enough to ride home, if you want to inflate your tire to 4-5 Bar you need at least 2 Cartridges.
I like the whole idea of this package, the only problem I have is that you need a lot of expensive CO2 Cartridges if you are a regular Flat tire King like
Frans Swinkels.
