QUAMEN DELTA (HIRO) FRAME VS QUAMEN CLAD G6 FRAME
THIS TWO FRAMES ARE VERY UNIQE IN THEIR LOOK AND PERFOMANCE.
THE DELTA (HIRO MORISAKE SIGNATURE MODEL) CAME UP A LITTLE BEFOR 2005 AND THE G6 CAME UP ONLY A FEW MONTHS AFTER THE START OF 2005 SO YOU CAN SAY THEY ALMOST THE SAME IN MARKETING DATE.
THE DELTA FRAME COMES WITH A 73 HT ANGLE, 13 CHAINSTAY, EURO BB, 14MM DROPOUTS, 18.8 TOP TUBE LENGTH, AND WEIGHTS 4.6 LBS.
WITH THE G6 YOU CHOOSE BETWEEN 73.5,75, AND 76.5 HT, YOU CAN ALSO CHOOSE IF YOU WANT THE NORMAL WEIGHT-4.8 LBS OR A LIGHTER VERSION-4.5 LBS,18.8 OR 19 TOP TUBE LENGTH, IT COMES WITH A EURO BB AND, 14MM DROPOUTS, AND 12.8 CHAINSTAY, BOTH FRAMES ARE 4130 CHROMOLLY.
BOTH FRAMES ARE VERY LOW AND HAVE EVEN MORE UNIQE LOOK THAN ALL OTHER QUAMEN FRAMES BECAUSE THE TUBES ARE MUCH LESS BEEFY A THING WHICH GIVES A CLEANER LOOK.
IN THE DELTA FRAME THE GUSSET UNDER THE TOP TUBE IS WRAPE AROUND STYLE AND IN THE G6 ITS A REGULAR PIPE.
IN BOTH FRAMES THE TOP TUBE DOESN’T REACH TO THE HT INSTEAD IT WELDED ON THE DOWN TUBE A FEW MM BEFOR THE HT A THING THAT HELPS REDUCE THE TOP TUBE HEIGHT AND LOOKS COOL.
IN THE G6 FRAME THE JOINTS BETWEEN THE BB AND THE CHAIN STAY AND THE JOINTS BETWEEN THE SEAT TUBE AND THE REAR FORK ARE REGULAR JOINTS, BUT IN THE DELTA FRAME THIS JOINTS WAS MADE BY USING SMALL SQUAR GUSSETS WHICH I THINK IS STRONGER.
ANOTHER DIFFERENCE IS IN THE BB POSITION- IN THE G6 FRAME ITS IN THE INTERSECTION BETWEEN THE SEAT TUBE DOWN TUBE AND THE CHAINSTAY, WHILE IN THE DELTA FRAME ITS UNDR THE DOWN TUBE CONNECTED WITH THE CHAINSTAY AND IT LOOK A LOT NICER BECAUSE ITS NOT LIKE OTHER FRAMES.
THIS FRAMES ALSO FEATURES GYRO TABS, CABLE GUIDS, A 990 BREAK MOUNTS ON THE REAR FORK, AND 3 HOLES ON EACH DROPOUT FOR LIGHT WEIGHT.
I CURRENTLY OWN A DELTA FRAME AND IT WAS VERY COMFTOBLE FROM THE START I ALSO HADE THE CHANCE TO RIDE A G6 WITH A 75 HT AND IT ALMOST FELT EXACTLY THE SAME.
