Michael de Wit aka King of Choq and Marek de Heus decided to make a little trip to the Arizona desert and check out the new Chandler Bike Park. Yes, you read it; bike park. This means no skateboards, fruitbooters or any other weird contraptions, just 20 inch bikes. In short the park is awesome, and has basically everything except for a full pipe: tons of hips, spines, sub boxes, transitions of all sizes and much more. Whoever designed it did a great job.

The park is definitely designed with bikes in mind: everything is bigger and steeper than the typical skatepark around here. If you ever want to visit Chandler remember that riding your bike in the desert at this time of the year

means getting up at 6 in the morning or riding in 100+ (40+ Celsius) temperatures. The whole Phoenix area is definitely worth visiting with a lot of other parks, ditches, trails and lots of nice girls up in Scottsdale.

We had a great time in Phoenix and will definitely go back even though the whole trip was kind of jinxed: The night before we left we had a little party, the cops showed up and wanted to arrest Mike, after only ten minutes of riding Mike crashed full speed into a kid and was bleeding like crazy, Marek broke his 6 month old Canon and worst of all we the engine of the Audi quattro wagon blew up.
