It takes forever to convince a local council to spend some money on a skatepark. In Antwerp, Belgium it was time for a new set-up and they did it right. They hired Team Pain for the job, had some of them Americans around in Belgium for a few weeks to get the job done and the result is a killer park. Since it's made of concrete you can expect it to be around for a while too so props to the Antwerp council for coming through on this. The place is public, open at all times to bikes as well and basically has a lot to offer for everyone. Seeing someone like Gary Young, Morgan Wade and Alistair Whitton

ride this place would be a treat. Endless lines and you know they would find a few you had not envisioned yet. Pool sharks will dig the sole pool that feels like the real deal. Tight trannies, loads of vert, tiles on the edge, pool coping, a deep end and some stairs. Dropping into that thing would be a challenge and good luck getting out or that pool without using the stairs. If we have to mention a highlight of the park it's the fullpipe, or capsule as one side is closed and transitioned.

Felt kind of lost for the first time in there but I'm sure Gary, Morgan and Ali would hit that thing full on after a few minutes.

We did get lost getting there from the directions we found online but found it after asking around. It was worth the extra effort. If you get lost too, don't give up, it will be worth the extra time.
