Weather was still good, but we'd heard that rain was on the way. After a mud race in San Francisco where it seems to rain a lot more, we weren't hoping for a similar supercross race in SD. In the morning while it was dry we scoped the pits and immediately ran into an old skool BMX booth run by Todd Huffmann and Toby Henderson. A conversation followed which could have taken hours but we left the booth with the plan on coming back later. That later never happened as it started to pour around 1pm and didn't stop until 5pm. We found a dry place to hang out (media centre) and got to work away a bit while looking at the track getting wet. The race was a mix between SF and Friday's media day when it was dry. Triples were jumped, but it was sketchy.
We witnessed Aaron Plessinger winning his first 450 SX and Jettson and El Hombre getting into a heated discussion. The 250 victory was for Thrasher. It was a long but sick day watching Supercross live. On the way back we stopped at Taco Bell for a 'proper meal' as we'd been living on snacks all day. Another one in the books.
