Free Agent Bicycles and USProBikes are pleased to announce the signing of French Superstar and two times  World Champion Thomas Allier to Free Agent. Thomas will focus mainly on French and European events but will still be making appearances at select US National events during the 2007 season. 

Free Agent World Team rider Ramiro Marino was the big winner of the last round of the Argentina National Championships this past weekend.

What's your position at MacNeil?
Harrison: I’m the creative director. I am in charge of everything visual for MacNeil from ads to product graphics. I work really closely with the guys, but they pretty much give me free rain over the brand.

For some people it's hard to go work in the USA. You moved from the USA to Canada. What did it take to be legal on all fronts?
Harrison: It wasn’t the easiest process. From the initial conversations, to me actual holding my work visa took a little over a year. As a graphic designer or anyone with a creative position, it actually isn’t that tough, it just took a bit to find the right lawyer and get all my references together. Once everything was finally inline, the process went really smooth. 

This Saturday 16 December the FSO crew is organizing a mini jam in Amsterdam. The venue is Everland skatepark. The jam starts at noon and ends at six. It's 6 euros to ride and the afterparty will be at De Melkweg in Amsterdam. With the whole flatland BMX crew in town for the Flatground contest this will be a BMX party of sorts. Amsterdam is worth a visit at any time but with two BMX contests going on you might as well look for a way to get there this weekend.

Those who were looking for a nice X-mas present need to look elsewhere. The release date is set for April 2007 and not X-mas 2006 as many had hoped. With riding from Sergio Layos, Ruben Alcantara, Sandy Carson, John Heaton, Jamie Bestwick, Taj Mihelich, Joe Rich, Morgan Wade, Mike Escamilla, Josh Stricker, Dave Freimuth, Garrett Byrnes,  Adam Baker, Aaron Ross, Brian Kachinsky, Danny Hickerson and Justin Inman it must be amazing.

23 December will see the Zumiez session in Wevelgem, Belgium. A nice park that we visited during the Carhartt/Eastpak tour . Here's the program:

History class never appealed to me. I dropped it as soon as I could. When it comes to BMX history, it's a different story. You see I’ve always thought that BMX originated in the USA in the late sixties until I walked passed a bookstore the other day. On the poster in the shop window was a picture of two kids riding bikes at a “fietscross” in 1956. The photo was taken in St.-Anthonis, Holland 15 miles from the FATBMX office. I walked in the store, searching for the mag and found “Ach Lieve Tijd”. The € 4.95 cover prize was a steal for a piece of BMX history. A quick search for more BMX pics was a negative but a story about Motocross I found. It mentioned that the sport of Motocross was started in the Netherlands on modified Nortons, DKW’s and BSA’s. Seeing that there is a truth to this, it is acceptable to believe that there were kids around pretending they had motorcycles but riding their bikes instead.

Yasu sent us this link about Bike Furniture. It's got bike parts collected since 1990 that got turned into chairs, mirrors, coat hangers, that kind of stuff. If you think they've only got a few products to offer, you should visit the site and be surprised.

Some of it is a bit loopy but some of it is pretty cool. It's hard to judge how comfy the chairs are from looking at the photos but if you're into this, that doesn't really matter.
