Alameda skatepark has been around for many years. It is a big part of bmx history for nor cal. Built by skateboarders AND bmxers from Alameda, and the week it opened, I think around 2000? Bikes were banned! And they became strict to ban bikes, and handed out tickets regularly. I myself have had a number of tickets, due to it being a local place to ride, and trails being plowed by city workers that don't understand bmx. The bmx riders in the bay area old, and new school would session there and deal with it.
Bernd Fröhner from Nuernberg sent us some photos of a new skate plaza that will be opened at the end of this month (September 30th). It's always a long process to get a place like this done for the home town but the people in Fuerth, Germany pulled it off and a big congratulations goes to them.
On sunday etnies officially opened the etnies Outdoor Trainings Facility right next to their EMEA headoffice on the houthavens in Amsterdam. The etnies OTF brings some fresh energy into the BMX scene with this public facility with multiple tracks. At the opening riders could ride the pump track for the beginners, table line for the amateurs, dirt line and a park setup.
The opening kicked off at 2 o'clock but some riders were there way early and eager to ride. The opening was a huge success with during the day about 150 people enjoying the weather, riding and music. Riders where on all parts of the track and stoked about the new playground and their friends and family were enjoying their beer and burger in the lounge area which is a perfect spot to overlook all the action in the park. The jam was without a schedule so riders could ride whatever they wanted.
Etnies had some prizes to give away which Syo van Vliet called
A few weekends ago (24th of August) I witnessed the grand opening of Knighton’s new skatepark (Knighton BMX / Skate Park). A few weeks before the opening day I was contacted by David Bennett (of the KB/SP committee) and asked if I could help make provisions for a BMX demo – I made some phone calls which resulted in the formation of a small demo team.
The team itself was called the Valleyside Stunt Team and
The exhibition the shop organised opened on Weds night, was a great success! It runs at Exeter Phoenix, Gandy St, Exeter, until the 29th Sept. Well here we are again, last trip was two years ago to San Diego. This time were heading to Oregon, and for 7 days! Looking for parks, trails, street, and good times! The guys on the trip are: Luke Otten, Tyler Lynch, Kenny Kekow, Quinn Doctor, Chase Mcalvain, Sean Thrower, Kris Abildgaard, and Seb Abildgaard.
So Saturday, day one we headed all met up at Kenny Kekows house, loaded up and headed North on I5. We made the decision to hit up Klamath Falls Skatepark along the way to Bend, Oregon.
Klamath Falls is a pretty big park. With no shortage of lines. Not geared towards the street side too much, but mad flow, and punk skater kids complained about pegs. Lol. It was a good spot none the less. We then decided to head to the time share cabin

Ramp building is something a lot of people can do. But when it comes down to designing and building in a short period of time, you will be able to decide the men from the boys. Currently a crew of ramp builders have made it to Amsterdam to finish up the course for the Red Bull Framed Reactions. Instead of starting from scratch, the crew had a lot of ramps available already as all the Red Bull Skylines ramps had been transported to Amsterdam a few months ago. But the ramp set-up in the Westerpark next week won't bee the same as the
