This summer the first-ever “Bomb Down Broadway” BMX race was held in NYC. Backed by Zoo York and Skavenger, a hundred or so BMX dogs converged on Union Square for the start of a completely no-holds- barred race through the streets of New York. X Games Mexico concluded as energetic fans filled the Palacio de los Deportes to watch the world's best international athletes compete in the BMX Freestyle Final. More than 19,000 riveted fans attended over the weekend. The Americans brought their top form and swept the podium in all of the Final competitions. "The energy from the fans this weekend, after watching some of the world's best action sports athletes, is evidence of Mexico's growing demand for action sports," said Rick Alessandri, senior vice president, ESPN

The Quadangle started out its life in 1979 as the STR-1. The STR-1 was Stu Thomsen's signature bike. which stood for "Stu Thompson Replica 1." Stu went on to win the 1979 the first ever ABA #1 pro title later that year on the Quadangle. Now here we are almost 30 years later & it's now available in a 24" version. Formula will be present at the European Championships Races with the brand new Formula European Trade Team. Last weekend our Team Manager traveled to Latvia, home of the first Olympic Gold Medal in BMX, to sign our first riders for the new 2009 European Formula Trade Team. Edžus Treimanis (Elite Men) and Rihards Veide (Junior Men) will be riding for Formula next season and proved to be a good pick.

éclat is proud to announce the addition of Darryl Tocco to the team. Darryl joins Chester Blacksmith, Sean Burns and Ashley Charles on the pro team and we're psyched to have him on board. In case you didn't already know, Darryl is 24 years-old, hails from Lindenwold, NJ and also rides for Kink, TwobyFour Store and Osiris Shoes. He's also one heck of a videographer, having recently helped out with the TwobyFour video and currently hard at work on Kink's upcoming Safety First video. But Darryl is just as comfortable in front of the camera as he is behind it, producing standout parts in past videos such as Insight, the TwobyFour video and his own series Bad Timing.
