UCI BMX Freestyle is the new grassroots digital ranking and qualifying system for amateur and professional riders to qualify for local, national and global BMX Freestyle events. This social sports media application allows up-and-coming riders the chance to gain exposure and recognition simply by uploading a video. If you've always dreamed of riding at the Simple Session in Tallinn, they're now got a competition going on the UCI BMX Freestyle App to qualify for the 2018 edition. Three riders will get to go but you'll have to download the App and post up your video before December 21st. So do it right away.

Beyond stoked to announce that 3-time Simple Session Champion and arguably the best street rider of ALL Time Garrett Reynolds will be back in Tallinn for the SIMPLE SESSION 18 in the first week of February 2018! This summer – the world’s most anticipated BMX events Simple Session will for the first time ever travel south. At the peak of the Nordic summer it heads to the very heart of Latvia’s capital, the spectacular city of Riga. The best BMX park and street riders from around the world will go head to head on a massive Wessel designed outdoor course on the city’s legendary Freedom Monument bridge. Also skateboarding best trick will go down.
This will be the summer to remember.

The 17th edition of the annual Simple Session contest went down this weekend, 4 – 5th of February at the Saku Arena in Tallinn, Estonia. The BMX contest was for the first time held in two separate disciplines. Two-time Simple Session winner Garrett Reynolds USA won the BMX street contest, Reed Stark USA was second and Simone Barraco ITA third. In BMX park, Larry Edgar USA, a top qualifier in several Simple Session's, finally landed his long-awaited win. Daniel Dhers VEN placed second and Jack Clark GBR third."Larry Edgar took the riding level to new heights, sending his airs higher than everyone else and made it look good with style for miles. For his unique transfers the judges rewarded the Californian with maximum points.
Just as I stated in the street recap, I threw this edit together as a precursor to the official SS recap video I plan on doing, so forgive the lack of editing, stabilization, color correction, or..anything. With the 12 heaviest dudes making it to the finals, today should be nuts. - Ryan Fudger
