October 2006 - New York, N.Y - The Dew Action Sports Tour, the pro tour of action sports, makes the fifth and final tour stop of its second season with the PlayStation® Pro, October 12-15, at Orlando’s TD Waterhouse Centre. The five-city tour opened in Louisville in June and also included stops in Louisville, Denver, Portland and San Jose. BMX stars Jamie Bestwick, Luke Parslow and Scotty Cranmer are among the athletes who will be in Orlando to compete for the Dew Cup, awarded at season’s end to the athlete with the highest number of points.

All 150 of the athletes who will compete in the PlayStation® Pro qualified for the remainder of the season at the first two stops on the Tour. Due to the depth of this year’s athlete talent, the Tour increased the finals field in all disciplines, allowing 12 athletes instead of 10 to advance to the finals.

We didn't have much time left after the interbike expo to show up at the FITLIFE premiere. The taxi line was 60 yards long so we decided to take that limo that was waiting in front of us. We could even bring the GCD beer inside that Dave hooked us up with. "One for the road" he said.... 10 minutes later and almost running over our brother Brian Kachinski a few times who was riding his bike there, we made it to the Hard Rock Hotel.

Once again 60 bmxers set out on an Amsterdam rampage thanks to the boys of FSO. With the sun blazing down on the streets we set off for what in hindsight turns out to be a relaxed day of riding. Even though FSO rocks hard, the street sessions were, due to the fact that Amsterdam was NOT bombed in the war, quite mellow. It is hard to come across good spots that offer something for everybody. The spots that we hit were fun to ride or to watch, especially the round curved wallride thing at the museum square. Daniel and Vladdie charged it with 3whips and 180 outs etc..

FSO Teamrider Maiten could have made it work but due to vague reasons ….he sucked..u better recognize....

I, Chris San Agustin, spent three months in Thailand, being this was my second trip there I knew what to expect. This would be the first time on my bike and I was lucky enough to meet the right people and session some really sick spots. Thailand is amazing...from the smell of the streets to the beads of sweat that consume your flesh 24 hours a day. Here are a few pics to give you a taste of what I experienced... 

Jason Enns didn't win shit at the Nora Cup awards this year. The trophies went to: Donny Robinson in the Race category, Justin Miller (Flatland), Morgan Wade (Ramps), Corey Bohan (Dirt), Corey Martinez (Street ) and the best video part award went to Josh Harrington. Okay, now that the official part is over, let's move on to the party mayhem. It was a good time. Thanks to Fudger, Keith, Dies and the other Transworld employees for the HDT support. We were doing fine when we got in and were even doing better when we left. The following pics will piss some people off but hey, that's life. Take it!

October 2006. Well, Well, Well the waiting is nearly over… The etnies Backyard Jam qualifying events are all finished and our 60 Expert riders have been selected and are now lined up to ride in the etnies Backyard Jam 2006, which is only a couple of weeks away! This year’s etnies Backyard Jam is going to be held at ICE Sheffield on 27th – 29th October 2006. If you’ve seen Props 59 or attended last years Jam in Brighton you’ll know what to expect. If not, imagine a line up of some of the worlds best riders on a course designed by one of the best ramp designers and builders available, all situated in a state of the art arena.

-What: The Dew Action Sports Tour, the pro tour of action sports, will open on-line voting polls on October 7 for the PlayStation® Trick of the Year. Fans can log on to www.dewactionsportstour.com and view video footage of the four PlayStation® Trick of the Week winners and vote for their favorite. The winner of the PlayStation® Trick of the Year will take home $10,000 in cash as well as other PlayStation® prizes.

-When: Polls will be open from Saturday, October 7 until Sunday, October 15. The winner will be announced during the Dew Action Sports Tour live NBC broadcast of the final stop of the Tour, the PlayStation® Pro, on Sunday, October 15. 

Never thaught of Greece before? I mean beside spending some great holidays on one the beautiful islands arround the mainland? No? That was reason enough to book some flights, grab our bikes and HELLAS – of to Greece. The team was Ben Hennon, Tobias Wicke, Ben Shenker, Axel Jurgens, Hannu Cools and Markus Wilke. Along with Thomas Fritscher, Daniel Etter and myself the group of people couldnt have been better.

On day 1 everybody traveled to Athens individually to get together. We were welcomed by Kelly at Eastpak Greece and Andreas Yakoumis, a greek Eastpak team rider. As everybody can imagine nothing really happend that day – riding wise I mean. We checked into our hotel, set up our bikes, had a few beers and had a very nice welcome dinner with some more greek riders and friends. Some of them will follow us for the rest of the trip – head first my friend Chris Martatos – a fruitcake with silly jokes, great riding skillz but unfortunately a broke wrist. But he took care of the fun/humour level for the week.
