Intense World Team Member, Michael Robinson competed at Centenary Plains BMX Club in Australia for Round 3 of the UCI World Ranking Series on January 8th in Brisbane. Michael has only competed in one other round, so he is playing catch up in the points. Due to a huge thunderstorm the night before the race, the track was extremely soft and soggy, making the race that much harder on the Elite riders.
All of the top elite riders from the Australian and New Zealand were in attendance, other that
Warwick Stevenson, whom is still recovering from Knee Surgery, so the competition was very strong. Following a disappointing 8th place finish at the UCI final the weekend before at Round 2 in Nerang for Michael, he was ready for a good main event result. As the main loaded up, it was easily one of the hardest main events in the history of the Australia series, with the best 8 riders in the country all in the main.
