The cat is out of the bag. Mark Losey is spending his last day today at the RIDEBMX offices in Tustin, California. Mark is leaving on good terms with everyone there and will still be contributing to the magazine from time to time but the day-to-day job as editor is over. Mark's wife got a good job opportunity in North Carolina so they are packing up with their son Ethan and will move to the Raleigh area, an hour and thirty minutes from Greenville. Mark will be sadly missed at the international contests where we got to hang out a couple of times a year and always had a good time. Take care my friend. Keith Mulligan is taking over Mark's duty at RIDEBMX.

When current UCI Pro World BMX Champion Warwick Stevenson tore his ACL a few weeks ago it was expected that he would be out for a few months. This would mean a disastrous season missing out on the NBL and ABA season but also not being able to defend his UCI World Title in Bercy, France at the last weekend of July this year. Turns out that to ride a bicycle, you don't really need an ACL if you wear a brace. Here's the latest from HARO's marketing coordinator Jill Hamilton:

After years of living in Hamburg and doing Mutation clothing with Christophe Huber, Marcin Stypulkowski moved to Warsaw and started KINGKONGBMX. Read more about the reasons why and what he has planned with his new brand. What was the reason to give up on Mutation? The reason was that Christoph and me had some differences. To continue our personal progression we had to finish Mutation so we split in good condition. I think we both needed a timeout of work to concentrate on ourselves.

Round two of the Soul Cycle XL series went down last weekend and good times were in effect. Barry Kohne and Dwayne BMXigan Verkade were at it again. Here’s a little round up of everything you missed out on. Since Zaandam is not located anywhere near the German and Belgian border, less foreign riders showed up. Considering this, it was great to see riders such as Markus Wilke, Paddy Gross, Sergei Geyer, little ripper Bruno Hoffman and of course Hannu Cools make the trip to the old Bruynzeel factory. Also good to see Vladdie de Koning representing NBR/ Zeeland. Dutch riders were in effect as well, even though a lot were hurt. Barry is still healing up after his handplant gone bad in Heerlen, along with a few others.

The psykopath pro race team has been on the road. Spring break in Florida was a big success for the pro race team. Augusto Castro was seen making the mains both in the elite class and open pro, Damien Lopez was also hard at work representing psykopath with main event finishes both weekends, our newest rookie pro Sergio Salazar was also making mains both in class and pro cruiser, also the legendary Terry Tenette was seen at Tampa in the elite masters class and almost had the first place win on Sunday but had to settle for second at the line.
