Bob Haro had an interview in the 1981 January issue of Action Now magazine. On the cover Bob is introduced as: HARO: BMX Magician. Trickster Turns Executive. D.D. Morin did the interview and the pics are from the hands of Cassimus and Bradley. We picked a couple of quotes from the hostorical interview to share with you. "At 22, Bob Haro is a businessman, trick rider, and an artist. He started as a professional doodler when he was young and matured into a cartoonist who could convert talent into dollars." "He started his 20-inch escapades when he no longer could afford to race his motocross bike. His car gave him problems next, and he ended up on his brother's 20" bike for transportation. After busting the bike on a jump, Bob was forced to buy it."

Upton Skatepark, Upton, UK. Everyone wishes for a local indoor park to ride. The people in Upton, England made it work. The Deconstruction tour is on the road. The first stop kicked off in Herne, Germany with Simon Tabron, Zach Shaw, Matt Fairbairn and Ronnie Remo taking care of the BMX demos. I arrived early as they were not only desperate for a BMX/Skate MC, but a FMX announcer as well. The first show was on the program for 15:30pm but it rained a bit and the FMX ramp was set up outdoors. No show. The BMX/Skate demo took place indoors with the first show being at 18:00pm after a couple of bands had played.

In March 2003 Martti Kuoppa and Jorge Gomez met up in Malaga (Spain) to practice flatland together. While taking a lunch break at the beach the very first idea joining together as a company came up. And the most obvious name for the company was "Kuoppa Gomez bikes", KGB. Within 2 minutes both, Kuoppa and Gomez made the decision about founding KGB and to leave their current bike sponsors. Now, two years later, we checked in with Viki and Martti on the developments of the KGB brand. To make a perfect BMX weekend happen you basically only need a few things: Spirit, passion, dedication and heart. Exactly this is what the Rebel Bmx weekend should reflect in the first place. The Dew Action Sports Tour announced the kickoff of the Free Flow Tour, the official amateur series of the Dew Action Sports Tour. A grassroots amateur BMX park and skateboard contest series, the Free Flow Tour will bring jam-style contests to 15 communities across the country. The Free Flow Tour begins May 15 at the Vans Skatepark in Moorestown, NJ. The Free Flow Tour will include BMX competitions at seven sites. The top BMX finishers at each stop will be flown to the Dew Action Sports
