How did the grands go for you?
Alise: Grands this year was a completely different experience for me. I have never missed racing the grands since my first attendance there in 1998. My first major injury, a broken Fibula, occurred the Monday before the race and I ended up not being able to go claim the #1 ABA Women's Pro Title. I was leading the points chase going into the event, and without racing it, still salvaged an overall #2 position. I was extremely bummed to have not raced this year, it seemed as if the track was built for me. It had a decision maker with jumps to an inside turn, and going into the race I felt very strong. I think it would have been an awesome, fun, and eventful race and am disappointed

The first UCI SX World Cup race is in the pocket. One down four to go. If the other ones are as exciting as the season opener we’re in for a treat. First of all the track, it separated the men from the boys. The second straight had a tricky section for the men while the women had three doubles to take on the second straight. The men’s line started off with a 8.8 meter long “set up” jump followed by a take off (covered with wooden sheets because it showed some soft spots) where you jumped onto a banana platform covering a 7 meter gap

You are the 2010 Supercross champion but did not get to race the last race in Frejus, what happened?
Laëtitia: I made a very big crash on the first time trial. I made a little mistake on the third straight and I fall on my back.

How is the injury now? Are you back on the bike?
Laëtitia: No, I'm still injured. In the beginning, they only found my fractured ribs and 2 fractured apophysis vertebral.

VSI Products is pleased to announce that it has signed on again as the official number plate supplier to the 2010, 2011 and 2012 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup Series and UCI BMX World Championships and the London 2012 Olympic Games. The three-year deal is a continuation of VSI's current sponsorship agreement with the UCI. VSI signed on with the UCI in 2007 prior to the Olympic Games in China where THE number plates were used by all the riders. THE number plates also are used at all UCI Supercross races and World Championships.

"Our relationship with the UCI has been great and has given the THE brand excellent exposure around the world. We look forward to working with them through at least 2012," said Toby Henderson, founding partner at VSI, THE's parent company.

Besides supplying more than 4,000 custom number plates to the UCI each year, VSI also donates THE, ITS, Intense and Vigor 

USA Cycling unveiled its complete 2011 national championship calendar today. A total of 17 events will provide riders of all ages and abilities with opportunities to win national titles across all five disciplines of competitive cycling. Of the 17 events, 12 are headed to new host cities. The first national titles of the year will again be bestowed upon BMX racers. For the first time in its five-year history, the USA Cycling BMX National Championships will take place on the grounds of the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. The April 16th event will feature elite and junior racing on the Beijing-replica Supercross track, while all other categories will compete on the adjacent, traditional BMX track.

Intense BMX, Sinz and THE have signed a deal that makes the U.S. BMX frame, bicycle and components supplier the Official Product Supplier to Australia's top BMX professionals. The agreement with Cycling Australia is an extension of a less-formal deal in 2010 where the company supplied members of the powerful BMX Australia Elite High Performance Program with frames, forks, components, helmets and protective gear.
