Damn, here's the last part of the Elevation comp. It was insane. We've saved the best for last. Here are your top 10 finishers:

10. Romuald "BB" Noirot. Top 10 got money. A big scoreboard first showed the schedule, then it showed the top twenty qualifiers and then it showed two groups of riders; The "In the money" group and the "Not in the money" group. BB was the first rider to enter the Money group on the left side of the score board. He did so by throwing true superman airs over the big sets, no-handed 360-s, whips, a couple of lookbacks, 3-whips, and three-in-one combo's that made you want to rewind the film to figure out what he just did. BB is riding his signature MacNeil these days and wanted to show contest organizer and MacNeil boss Jay Miron his current level. The judges (Osato, Biz, Korthaus, Barrett, Beringer) were impressed too. 

The Red Bull Elevation comp was a huge success. The jumps were awesome, the riders were top level, the organization was perfect, the sound was great and partying was on. We're splitting up the report by listing the 11-20 placed riders first and then the 1-10 placed riders later. Enjoy.

20 Adam Baker. You could take the finals two ways: 1) Take it safe and miss out on the top ten (meaning no money), or 2) Step it up and go for it. Adam was one of those riders who stepped it up, or at least tried to. The three-whip over the first set, that went straight into an oververt 180 degree right berm, caused some problems where Adam lost the speed he needed to clear the following set. Not happy with this he tried it again. With three out of four runs counting, missing more than one good run wasn't ideal. It was Adam's birthday too but that didn't help change things. After another sneak attempt back up on the starting hill he pulled what he wanted (the truckdriver) and continued with a personal victory run down the hill throwing one-handers and stretched one-footers for the hell of it. 

USA Cycling announced the Podium Program, a three-tiered financial support initiative that assists Olympic hopefuls. Created by USA Cycling and funded by the United States Olympic Committee, the Podium Program awards cash stipends and support to elite athletes based on results and performance. In May, athletes who qualified for the program in the Olympic disciplines of road, mountain and track were announced. Today, four eligible athletes in the newest Olympic discipline – BMX – were announced, bringing the total number of athletes in the Podium Program to 35.

Stallion Springs, CA — Every young BMX rider wants to be a pro when they grow up. At Woodward West, young BMX riders have the opportunity to ride, interact, and learn from pro BMX riders and find out everything they ever wanted to know about BMX. Woodward West has confirmed pro BMX riders who will be riding with campers during Summer Session 2006. “Woodward West is heaven. It does not get any better than having all the facilities to ride, starting from ground zero to any level of riding. The vibe at camp keeps me coming back to the point where I get bummed when I don’t get to spend more time at Woodward,” Pro BMX rider Ricardo Laguna said.

Right after the message we received from Robert de Wilde that he has left Staats on good terms, we noticed these UCI results up in Canada. Looks like Afro Bob is raking in the UCI points wherever he goes.

On the ISPO summer '06 from July, 16th to 18th in Munich, Germany, a little BMX session will be happening. A setup consisting of a big Quarter, a Quarter-to-wall, a curbcut, a nice jumpbox and a grindbox will be installed in Hall A3. On Sunday, the 16th there will be a Jam session taking place and on Monday there will be a little contest where 500 € of price money can be won.

All participating riders will surely get tickets to the Ispo as well as VIP passes for the legendary FUNK ispo party.

Can you take us through your BMX career briefly?
Cam: This is my 3rd year in America. I love travelling and seeing the world and riding my bike. I've only ever won one contest and that was the CFB in Oklahoma, this year (2006), I was stoked on that. I live in Las Vegas and ride TJ Lavin's yard most days. Those who aren't scared of it, should come ride it, it's amazing. When I'm not here I live in Canberra and it's good to be home, even if it's only for a few months of the year.

Did you grow up with any of the other Australians who are now living in the USA?
Cam: Nah I didn't really grow up with any of them, but I hung out a lot with Guettler and Parslow before I came over here, so it's a good time when we're all together. 

I know the actual bmx shots aren't too exciting, but Nicole Kidman must be one of the best looking girls EVER featured in a BMX feature film, right?
