Concrete parks seem to pop up everywhere these days and not only in America. Amsterdam had a fairly new one and a good one at that. It's dubbed the Marnix bowl simply because it's located on Marnix street. It's an awesome set up with just enough hips to keep you busy for ages.

It's 1,90 meters deep on one end and just a touch deeper at the very end.

BMX superstars launch grand re-opening of Jaycee's BMX Park. GREENVILLE, NC, April 2006 - The Park that has become home to local BMX professionals for over a decade has just received a face-lift. On Saturday, May 6, Greenville Recreation & Parks will officially unveil the renovated Extreme Park. The event kicks off at 2 p.m in Jaycee Park and will be open to the general public at no cost. Local BMX professionals will be putting on a thirty minute demo followed by a raffle and autograph session. The event is to showcase the new park by the BMX riders; some of whom had a hand in the new design.

 "The riders got together, formed a design group and came up with their suggested layout for the new and improved ramps," said Boyd Lee, Director of Greenville Recreation & Parks.

Jay Rycroft sent in a pre-master DVD with his Dark Days DVD burnt on it. Let me explain this first, I appreciate all the videos that are made. It shows that instead of just filming for your friends at a contest (and stand in the way), you actually take the effort to put something together. Jay has done just that. He's been to several events or had people film for Dark Days so he could spend hours behind the computer editing it. Ronnie Remo filmed some stuff while he was over at Dave Mirra's and Jay did a lot of filming around Southsea with the motherfucking Southsea riders. 

The Props Mega tour dvd is out. With 60 riders on board doing a week of touring around California, you know it's going to be a good one. The teams this time are V-club clothing, Shitluck, Proper, Greasy Comb distro, Solid Bikes and Staff mail order. Riders range from full time pros to lots of "Bio material" to just friends who are a good time to hang out with. The official stops were at Woodward West, Primo Ramps and Ramp Rats skatepark but when these mandatory stops were over, it was each their own. Enter Mount Baldy, Vegas, Stephen Murray's trails, Gordy's backyard, the streets of San Francisco, Home Ave ditch, SD YMCA, and too many to mention. Quality of the filming is top notch as we've come to expect from anything that Props makes. Music on the other hand is not super great (no classics or big bands as dealing with the rights is a pain and costs too much) but personally I'm not too picky when it comes to sound so it's not too big of a deal to me. The Megatour dvd goes from spot to spot, from team to team, from trick to trick. It becomes a bit blurry when you watch it for the first time because it's all mixed up.

James and his crew have decided to put up another BMX Jam in Kassel, Germany. Not only the obligatorial bling-bling will be there, some new ramps will be shining in the bright light of satisfaction as well. These new ramps are some legacy of former Kassel's Skatehall named "Mr. Wilson".  James explains: "Alright now these bitches belong to us and we decided to use that quarter with wallride-possibility and that nicely shaped curved bank for a pleasureful event for the mob. So take your butts and booties and get to Kassel for the Early Satisfaction BMX Jam 2006."

-Alejandro Caro collected his Red Bull helmet at the weekend....but it looks like it wasn’t just any kind of party and I hope he kept his helmet tucked away. In the aftermath of Colombias biggest dirt comp organised in part by Alejandro, he was feeling pretty tired...but there is something about the limo, red carpet and free drink that made him feel a whole lot better real fast. Alejandro will also be in Europe again this summer, starting out with NASS in the UK. He’s currently learning the real, although more painful version of the superman... Right now

Ron W.: My leg getting better made me do that! My 2nd time on vert in 15 months!!! but damn, there's nothing like riding vert.

SNICKERS is back for its third year at Download, the only UK festival to showcase BMX, skate and live rock music at one event. SNICKERS announces further details of its skate and BMX schedule with the introduction of SNICKERS UK FRIDAY at the SNICKERS BOWL. Taking place on day one of the Donnington event (Friday 9th June), SNICKERS UK Friday provides a platform for British BMX talent and a chance for UK athletes to ride the awesome SNICKERS BOWL, previously open to invited international pros only. The size of an Olympic swimming pool but twice as deep – this hugely anticipated and unmissable structure comes to the UK just once a year.

The best-established British riders and next generation of UK talent will come together as thirteen riders compete in this invitation only jam.
