For the 06/07 season Andy Zeiss will be the Internationl Eastpak Bmx Tean Manager. With this appointment Zeiss frees up some time for Nadia Kokni for her to concentrate on other Eastpak projects.

JMB: I played Ice hockey before, still a fun sport to watch.

Kari Olandese is a young lady who was born in Germany while her Father was in the military and after living in quite a few States now calls San Jose , California home. She works at Whole Foods market to pay the bills and studies full time. She is also a part-time artist , full time Aunt and enjoys knitting. Kari also rides freestyle BMX.

Q : What are some the events in your life that have happened solely because you were on a bike ?
A : A lot of broken bones---medical bills---frustration and bliss---offer to be in Tyson Chicken commercial yikes!... my trip to Portugal for the Worlds freestyle contest in 2003--- autographing kids clothing....demo for Dew tour in Colorado---GLTR class in Portland, OR.---meeting amazing females & males that ride from around the world---contributions to Emerald Nation Zine....

- KHE’s Flat Team has picked up German WOLFGANG SAUTER!! He will get a signature frame called: “Tantra” and a complete signature bike in the mid-upper price level.

- There will definitely be a strong freecoaster hub for street riders – the “Geisha Street” – The Pedal space is variable!!

The NBL is excited to announce our new Marketing and Public Relations director, Kevin O’Brien, who brings with him a large collection of experience and knowledge to the NBL team. Our recent Christmas Classic served as his initiation to our organization where he met many of our key personnel and volunteers. The NBL is dedicated to providing the best programs to our membership and Kevin’s style will help the NBL further establish strong relationships with our growing list of sponsors and supporters while maintaining solid relationships with our track operators across the country.

“BMX is going through an exciting transition as the sport gets ready for the 2008 Olympics, but we need to remain focused on maintaining steady grass roots programs so that we continue developing the future stars of tomorrow. The NBL has a solid base of excellent programs for all riders and we will have some opportunities to push the sport back into the mainstream with our older Expert and Elite riders in the next two years. BMX racing may be a household name, but our goal is to make sure that people think ‘Bicycle Motocross Racing’ when they hear that three-letter word” said O’Brien.

There is so much going on here in Tallinn that it's hard to find time to give you the info. After qualifying it was straight to dinner and then it was party time. It's not uncommon to get back to the hotel at 8 or 9 am. Everything stays open until late (or doesn't stop) and it looks like everyone is suffering from lack of sleep. With the finals just finished and the final party being tonight, don't be surprised if the boys come home like zombies on Monday. It's pretty wild out here but that makes this contest so good.

-You were one of the first Australian riders to live and ride in the USA. What made you decide to pack up and give it a go?
Colin: I took up Chad Kagy’s offer to stay at his place in Nor Cal, I couldn’t miss out on that. The Fox video just came out and the Nor Cal scene was in full force. Chad was always going to comps when I was at his place, and he asked the Hoffman crew if I could go in the X trials in Louisville, KY. They accepted and it was on from there. I felt it was just the right place at the right time, I didn’t expect to do as well as I did.

-When was this?

We arrived in Tallinn, Estonia for the Pop Session and am enjoying the free wireless internet connection of the Olympia hotel to bring you the first update. Lots of riders arrived but some are still missing bikes (Josh Harrington, Anthony Pill, Ben Hennon and Ben Manuel). They were not on the course today for the first practice session.
The course is looking different and with 60 guys on the course it was hard to find the right lines. Basically, it was impossible to ride the course and riders stuck to doing tricks on certain obstacles and sessioned those. Who's here you wonder? Nyquist, Gary Young, Jim Cielencki, Tobi  Wicke, Sergei Geyer, Shenker, Grosic, Nielswheels, a bunch of English riders (Forte brothers, Elkington, Fenlon, Mahoney, Shaw, Tabron) and a whole lot more.

Fuzzy Hall, who has been a member of Team OGIO since its beginning, is stepping up his role with the company as its newly named BMX Team Manager. The announcement was made by OGIO VP of Promotions Andy Bell.

Hall, who joined the BMX circuit in 1987 and has helped shape it into the widely accepted sport it is today, will continue to compete in numerous competitions worldwide this year. He was the first rider to successfully throw a 720 in competition, at X Games X, and has been instrumental in building the sport of BMX dirt jumping into what it is today. Hall's renowned course-design skills have been compared to crafting a fine wine; even his Kaysville, Utah backyard is a riding mecca and the subject of a video game. And he is a regular fixture on magazine covers, action sport movies, and how-to riding clinics for kids of all ages.
