-What new products are you bringing to Las Vegas that people need to check out? We'll have our three frames, our trails bars, and sprockets - and a few T-shirts, mugs, and so-on. Mark Mulville will have his bike on the booth too, so you'll be able to see what his L-size frame builds up like, plus his new signature Profile stem will be on board. Good times!
-Any special activities going on at the booth during the show? Just being there for the first time is special enough for us. It'll be my 8th or 9th Interbike - I've lost count to be honest - but it'll be my first as a bike brand owner, as previously I've gone representing Ride UK. Now it's a whole new start...
-How many people are going to help out in your booth during the show? With the Undrgrnd guys, we'll have about four people on the stand.
-Are you actually taking orders at the show or is it more to show products to the dealers and get contacts? Oh yep, we'll be taking orders all right, no worries - plus it's a great chance to show people the product in the flesh, get contacts, talk about Deluxe BMX, and talk BMX in general. I'm all about that.
-Are any of your riders coming to Interbike? Our UK guys are all busy either digging their waterlogged trails into shape, or grabbing a few precious sessions in a late Indian Summer here - however, our US rider Mark Mulville will be there representing, so come on down.
-Would you think a contest at Interbike would be a good idea since loads of people (industry/riders/media) are there already? Actually, yep - some sort of riding session would be good. These always went down well at the UK shows we've been to over the years, I'm thinking about the 'Bike' shows we used to have during the late 90s, early 2000s - they were always a pretty good time. Whether it was a full on park course, or a vert ramp show, the general public were always pretty into it. I'm not talking about hosting some kind of Dew Tour event, no way - but the skate industry trade shows always have some cool little comp thing going on; they run a Game of Skate for example - really easy. I mean, even if we had something as random as a highest bunnyhop jam, just for a laugh, it would be good. Something small, creative, different, fun - it could be a really good addition.
-What party are you looking forward to? Nora Cup, for sure.
-What would make the 2008 edition of Interbike a success for you? Just having people drop by the Deluxe BMX booth, check out what we're doing, and seeing what's what. Plus, I love catching up with friends and people in the industry, talking BMX, seeing the new stuff, seeing how people are getting on, enjoying a beer with friends - the general BMX industry chin-waggin'... always good times.
