General Description for a job in the BMX industry that is available in California right now: TransWorld Media is looking for a Sales Manager for our Carlsbad office to drive print and digital advertising sales for the TransWorld RIDE BMX title.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years BMX industry experience in sales. A background in marketing and media is a plus. This person will be a creative thinker and have the ability to develop custom programs specifically designed to meet brand goals and objectives. The candidate will have existing relationships with the BMX industry, a proven track record of performance and consultative selling capabilities.

We had the premiere of Team Rider and newly appointed European Operations Manager Mark Vos's short movie last night in Amsterdam. A good time was had by all with a few sore heads thrown in this morning for good measure. We had a double celebration with the premiere of the movie and also mark's new appointment within We are Level. He will also be heading up the team at Simpel Sessions this year, with the new winter/spring range being modelled by all the team riders (Mark, Jonathan Janson, Tian Moses and Oskars Zajarskis) out there.

It’s with the utmost pride and pleasure that we introduce ‘The Albion’, a brand new bi-monthly publication aimed at reinvigorating BMX media, reinstating the authority of the printed word and celebrating all that is great about bicycle motocross. Throughout the history of BMX, magazines have been responsible for documenting the spirit of riding. They’ve helped to unite a community that can often seem broad and disparate, they’ve brought us all closer together and inspired every one of us. We all have favourite photos and articles that remind us why we ride, photos and articles that motivate us to get up and travel, meet new people and progress both as riders and as people.

The magazine that brought us together came from a humble beginning with pure intentions. As BMX has expanded that once respected magazine has strayed off course due to newfound corporate purpose, compromising our work and dedication for a publication that wasn’t our own. 

Eastern Bikes is in need of a dedicated, hard working individual for a Sales Assistant position in its Raleigh, NC office. Duties include but are not limited to: Over the phone selling of BMX bikes/parts, customer service inquiries, sales territory support, light website data entry and some office/admin work. Basic computer knowledge and a BMX background are required. Applicants must be willing to work a M-F 10-6:30 schedule with occasional extra hours. Effective communication skills are also required of this position. 

The Bike Expo had an indoor section and also an outdoor area where some companies displayed some new BMX related products. On Friday and Saturday they were hating life outside because of the rain. People don’t tend to walk through the rain to see new products. But on Sunday we took the effort to get the camera out and walk from booth to booth. Here are a few products we came across. A new clothing company. What made you decide to start SEKT?
Tim: I just moved back to the northeast from Austin. It was getting to be too much for me down there. When I got back, me and Doug Foulke just got to talking......a week later all the designs and ideas for what we wanted were done.

Who are all involved in the process of running the business, promotions, designs, etc.?
Tim: It's just me and Doug as far as the ideas and designs go. Kinda wanna keep it that way. AXELRAD is doing the printing for us, all those dudes are awesome and good friends of ours, so it's all in the family.
