-Hi Kevin. To start things off, can you tell us your name, age and location?
Kev, 22, Hartlepool, UK.
-How long have you been into riding/skating? And have they played a roll in getting you into t-shirt design work?
I've been into riding and skating for bout 12 years of my life now and I would say that they have played an important role in my life and helping me create t-shirts that express the culture I am surrounded by
-How long have you been doing t-shirt designs and what's up with 'feign'?
I've only been designing tees for bout 6 months as my partner used to do the design work for Feign and I decided it was time for me to express my ideas and get them down onto paper and then actually getting them printed.
-What sort of difficulties have you run into with this sort of work?
We haven't actually come to any difficulties as we use an ace printer; Shirty-something (cheers rog)
-How long does a design usually take from start to finish and what sort of programs do you use?
Each and every design can take between a few minutes (an accidental mistake) to a few hours to a few weeks it depends on what frame of mind I'm in, I mean I could be having memory block so I reach for the old white cider and swig away till I get my thinking head on and then I work. as for the programs I use : adobe photoshop cs2 freehand, illustrator and a few others
-You've done a bit of work for valleyside, do you do much work outside of Feign?
I haven't really done much work at all other than feign and valleyside I mean I've done the odd flyers now and then but nothing too major but I am available for work and I am very cheap too.
-What sort of artist's have inspired your work?
I could say Derek Hess even though none of my work actually has any style of his but then again I don't think your work has too to be inspired by anyone as long as you can grasp inspiration, I must say that most of my ideas come from work I see around me stuff that happens in everyday life that has got to be the biggest inspiration to me
-Finally if a bike/skate company wanted to recruit your help on a project how would they go about contacting you?
They can contact me at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
