The Texas Toast crew had a plan for Friday night. With the help of Bell Helmets an auction was held to benefit the Athlete Recovery Fund. 20 Bell helmets ended up in the hands of (BMX related) artists who turned them into interesting pieces which were being sold to the big crowd by Leland Thurman. It was an amazing night with amazing people and helped out the ARF in the end.

On October 2nd the “Museum of Extreme” opened its gates for the first time in Stockholm. At nightfall the Killer Loop Van stopped in the middle of the scenic Rålambshovsparken where by means of Kinect projection mapping a spectacular public interactive installation turned the place into a virtual museum. The exhibition showcased the extraordinary photos of Daniel Månsson (SWE), one of the world’s most loved and respected action sports photographers, who was at site himself and revealed deeper insights into his work.

The Burning Ink event started in the afternoon with a unique demo by the Euro and French DC Skate Teams at the Plainpalais skatepark under a nice bright sun. From 6 pm, the public, which counted over 450 enthusiastic people, gathered at the Square Gallery to enjoy  art, beer, pasta and Sailor Jerry cocktails .

Many participating artists were present, and it is with the exceptional « breathing fire » helmet created by Collectif Next Door that the Burning Ink Ceremony started around 8.30pm, spreading emotion and good vibes into the Geneva’s night .

A lot of helmets presented in the frame of the Braincover Art Show have been bought. It was a great success! And all proceeds will be donated to the following Charity:

This year's Hall of Fame Scholarship Auction is stacking up to be the biggest and best ever - with art contributions coming in from across the world. For the past six years, the National BMX Hall of Fame has held a silent auction in conjunction with their have BMX Art from every major BMX artist - from Bob Haro to Craig Hooper, Jim Koch to Christophe Boul, Carl Lein to Damian X Fulton, Todd Todd E. Betts to his son Bryce Betts and Austin Steele, along with some awesome photography prints by famed photographers such as Pull magazine's Jason McGuire, to Hall of Famer's Windy Osborn, gOrk and the late, great Russ Okawa. During this year's Hall of Fame induction ceremony, we will be awarding Marian University student Tyler Whitfield the first Hall of Fame scholarship. Tyler was chosen for his combined scholastic GPA, dedication to the sport, as well as his mad skills on a BMX bike and National Championship and future Olympic potential.

The Bitter End, an exhibition by American Artist Jason Jägel, and Curated by Arkitip will be up at The Hub in Paris from September 12th to November 15th, 2013. The exhibition launch will be on September 12th from 6pm to 9pm at The HUB, 15 rue Montorgueil, 75001 Paris.

Jason Jägel was born in Boston (Massachussetts) in 1971 and is now based in San Francisco. He graduated from the California College of Arts and Crafts and Stanford University. Jägel's work has been exhibited in many solo and collective shows in New York,

When I started riding in 1997 there were no Skateparks in NYC besides Mullaly in the South Bronx, Mullaly is in one of New York Cities toughest areas. If you can make it there you can make it anywhere. Thru the years there have been some ups and lately downs.
