The 2010 Nike 6.0 BCN BMX Pro was great. Even though I can’t ride and have to hop everywhere, Barcelona is still amazing. First off, I have to say that as expected, Nike 6.0 did an amazing job on the park. It looked great, fun, and had everything. All of the riders enjoyed it. Also the setting of the park was unbelievable. It’s beach-side, and over the wall to one of the greatest street spots ever. Seeing all of the guys was awesome, including a lot of guys from the Masters Of Dirt family, as there were Moto-X and MTB contests here as well. A few riders were missing from the park during practice, as they were getting too much of the sick street in Barcelona, and checking out the beaches filled with hot topless chicks. Hopefully they won’t see any old women and their minds won’t be scarred like mine was.
The qualifiers were sick, and the highly anticipated final was rained out and only half of the riders did their runs. The standings from the prelims stood, and Dennis Enarson came out with the victory, on the podium with Daniel Dhers and Garret Reynolds. Ben Wallace got the final invite to the Nike 6.0 HB BMX Pro. Micheal Beran won the best trick contest, making BMX history with a Bike-flip to Tire-tap to Tail-whip in.
After a weekend in Barcelona I couldn’t get enough of this place. Next year’s event should be intense, the Spanish people love their BMX.
