12 invited riders made it to Munich, Germany for the annual Munich Mash event. Instead of a street comp, this year's edition hosts a Spine Miniramp contest and with riders like Kostya Andreev (RUS), Kevin Peraza (USA), Alex Hiam (AUS), Jack Clark (GBR), Pat Casey (USA), Daniel Wedemeijer (NED), Tom Justice (GBR), Timo Schulze (GER), Gilles Torres (ARG), Tobias Freigang (GER), Daniel Dhers (VEN), and Paul Thoelen (GER) you can understand the level was off the hook. Friday was used to do a Best Trick contest and the bangers came out on day one already. It was a rough decision to make the call who would go home with the €1000,= check and 1 year Gravity membership but in the end it went to Pat Casey. Alex Hiam was in the lead for a while with a whip to footjam whip to fakie over the double coping spine. Kevin Peraza's 540 bluetooth g-turn nosepick was off the hook as was Daniel Wedemeijer's icepick on the wall and Tom Justice's 270 over ice to toothpick on the spine to 270 back over. Michael Beran was on fire pulling the handplant backflip over the spine to one-handed lander to one handed barspin on the next wall. His big trick was the bikeflip tailwhip which he perfectly executed. Pat Casey's fakie skills got him the win. The 180 barspin to no-hander over the spine to fakie 360 tailwhip did it. The check and the 1-year Gravity membership went to Riverside.
Contest will happen on Saturday afternoon. Stay tuned for that. Possible live feed too.
