thanks to having people like Desmond and Stuart as pillars of our event. Our agendas do sometimes get crazy busy! This became very clear for our 3.0 event as we changed the dates so many times. At one point nobody knew what date we were exactly talking about. Because of interfering agendas we could only get together on one date, the 24 th of August. But this date was stacked already with events, like THE Fatjam and a Red Bull Pump Track event. What to do?!
We didn’t want people to choose where to go but rather giving them the option to visit multiple events. This is where the idea of “the night edition” came from. Forever we wanted to get more than one jump, so finally the “downlow” was created. You had to jump our original jump as a hip and would go down this dyke at Mach 5 hitting the DTX13/MIR demo jump/kicker to land on a very steep landing almost in the woods… We rented some lights and started at 6 pm and continued until a little after midnight.
We played music, had free beers and people could enjoy some BBQ too. As usual the limits of riding was pushed. At times even when the lights went off, people were still flipping jumps in complete darkness. Memories were made. A lot of people worked hard and chipped in, special thanks to Tim Tuinen and Paul Lemson and ofcourse the sponsors of this edition; Kaskon, DTX13 and MIR.
