Simon Tabron: It sucks that I'm going to miss that, but I've hung out with all of those guys recently.
Has your pro vert world title helped you out in any way these last few years?
Simon Tabron: Not too sure. I know it's a cool thing for your sponsors, and your family are always going to be proud of it. I always felt it will be nice to look back when I'm an old man and think that I was 'World Champion'. I'll be able to bore my grandkids with stories about it!
If BMX Freestyle would actually make it to the 2012 London Games, do you think the World's are an event to look at as far as riders being qualified to make their "national team"?
Simon Tabron: No, it should be separate. The Worlds is too much fun to be associated with the Olympics.
There are not too many events where anybody can participate. Lots of them are invite only. Does that make the World's a unique event?
Simon Tabron: Yes, absolutely. It completely rules that there are am and girls events.
Next to that, having 5 disciplines; park/dirt/vert/flat and mini, where else do you see that?
Simon Tabron: NOWHERE!
Who do you think will make top three in Pro Vert in Cologne?
Simon Tabron: Jamie [Bestwick], Coco [Zurita], Zach Shaw
Last words: I hope the Worlds goes off with a bang and everyone has a great time. Wish I could be there...!!!
