Fame brings a lot of distractions; cars, girls, gambling, houses, parties, motorcycles but Ryan Guettler knows where he's coming from and understands it's his bike that got him all the above. And it's not that it was just given to him. Ryan works hard at what he does and rolls the dice when he enters contests. It's all or nothing for the Australian which resulted in him pulling the first 1080 on dirt in a competition in 2007. Ryan is far from done. 

Australian Corey Bohan has been on top of the Dirt Jumping charts over the last couple of years and somehow doesn't come across as a competitive person. He's got styles for miles and mixes tricks up. He's got no problem with doing spins in the opposite direction and 9 out of 10 times he's got a smile on his face at the bottom of the course. Corey likes to surf, hang out with his family and mates and the Giant rider likes to ride good courses. What else is he into? Just read on for an interview with Corey Bohan.

-Is this the time of the year when you start thinking about being in Australia?
Dec is the time when I usually head home. I'm in the States for a long time and it's good to get home and hangout with family and friends. Plus summer is well underway so I get to surf everyday and come home to home cooked meals from the family. Life is good in Aus.

-How often do mates from Australia visit you in Corona, California?

FATBMX: You've been riding for Macneil for a while. Do you have any signature parts out at the company?
Kym Grosser: No signature parts yet, but hopefully soon.

FATBMX: You live in Australia but you travel a lot too. How much time (in 2007) did you spend abroad?
Kym Grosser: In 2007 I had a good year! I went to New Zealand for X air in Feb then I got to go to Metro in Singapore in the middle of the year an I also stayed an extra week to do BMX Pig which was awesome fun!! an a few months ago I went to Whistler for Red Bull Elevation an stayed in Vancouver for an extra week... 

Scotty Cranmer has been putting out some amazing riding web videos in 2007. We have another web video for you but this time Scotty is not on his bike (except for the three wheeler roll back) but he talks about his bike shop and shows his new resi-ramps.

At the age of 16 nobody has made such an impact on the Dew tour just like Dennis Enarson did in 2007. The San Diego local took his dad and his Volume to the comps and destroyed Park as well as Dirt finishing 6th and 3rd overall respectively. Haro bikes have given Dennis a ride for next year so you'll be seeing him at big comps in 2008. Lloyd Ramsay caught up with Dennis in the Bay Area, his first ride on HARO.

Q : What did you spend your first paycheck from Haro on?
A : I actually haven't got it yet, but I will probably save it. (Dennis has been on Haro for only a week)

Q : What is the next big trick you are working on?
A : I don't usually work on tricks, just usually think of them before a contest but I would really like to work on a quad whip sometime this year. That's like one of my goals for this or next year so I'm not too worried.

On August 20th, Redline’s BUBBA HARRIS was in Beijing, China – tearin’ it up on the official Olympic track. In practice, he looked to be the guy to beat; as he breezed thru the course and set the pace. But during the first run of his time-trial, disaster struck. Coming out of the second turn on a TT-winning split time, Bubba wobbled at the entrance of the rhythm section and was launched sideways. With his left foot still clipped in, he landed to his right and tumbled down the steep side of the jump, coming to rest in the infield with his left foot completely dislocated from his ankle. Now, 70-some days later, the 3-time ABA No.1 Pro is back on his foot, riding and training, and getting ready for what we predict will be the Greatest Comeback in BMX history. Since Bubba’s injury and healing process has been off the BMX radar these past two months, Redline thought this would be a great time to catch up with Bubba and see how the road to recovery is coming. 

Question : How did Megatour go for you ?
Answer : Megatour was awesome. However, the first night in Greenville we got to ride The Unit, and in the first fifteen minutes I got carried away with a tailwhip, bailed, and broke my wrist. My flight home left from the last stop in Atlanta, so it wasn't like I could just leave. I spent the rest of the trip caddying around photo gear and pretty much just being a tourist. I rode a little, but it just wasn't happening. I tried to make the best of it though. It was cool to see some of the South for the first time, and meet new people on the crew. Being on a trip with Ron (Kimler) and Chad (Kagy) was crazy enough; I would have never thought I’d be on a Props trip with those guys.

Q : What was your first experience like being a camper at Woodward?
A : It’s crazy how often I think about that week. It was definitely epic for me at that age, just the scale of the place blew me away. 

For Jarrod's interview I gave him a few key words and he elaborated on them. We had about 2 hours to shoot some photos so we were limited to one spot : the Fun Spot. The photo taking process was hindered for a few minutes by an obtuse Santa Cruzian asking me odd questions about cameras. He easily could have been the grandkid of the Zodiac killer. The park itself is right next to the beach so the weather was really warm and there is always interesting foot traffic going past. Afterwards Jarrod went home to pack for the European tour he was about to go on with musician Jason Mraz and I headed to the airport to pick up a friend. About 2 months later here is Jarrod's interview.

- Ha ha, it means that it's on so watch out German

Wicke: What comes next after Bmx for you?
- I am really excited to start a business with my trade.

Wicke: Does your lady know that your jumping the spine 30ft without a breathmachine?
- She loves it , she thinks it's awesome how high I can go.

Wicke: Is there something you can't stand at all?
- People who are rude. It is the one thing I hate
