SE Bikes would like to welcome the two newest members to our Factory Race Team: 14 Expert Chase Hines out of South Carolina and 16 Year old Girl Amanda Carr out of Florida Chase has placed on the UCI World podium and has earned many top-5 National Numbers over the years.

Amanda has been on the top of her game for many years. She has already won the UCI World Championships twice and has plenty of National wins. Chase and Amanda join Javier Colombo, Todd Lyons, Justin Wike, Travis Postany, Taylor Thomison, and Trent Newkirk on the “Baddest Team Around.”

And we can’t forget about our two dirt jumpers who plan to shred it up once again this year: Chris Gerber out of Indiana and Fernando Sabat out of California. Keep an eye on the entire SE team in 2007. Expect big thangs.

BMX Friends: I want to let you know that I have made the decision to leave USA Cycling (USAC) as their BMX Programs Director. This decision was mine alone and did not come easily. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity USAC gave me and learned a tremendous amount in a very short period of time. Despite leaving, I can tell you that USAC is fully committed to the success of the sport and understands that BMX has its own unique needs and circumstances to consider on a regular and ongoing basis. Since I began with USAC in the spring, I believe things have been successfully kick-started and much of which we had hoped to put in place, has. I hope that the BMX community now knows that USAC is a friend and that their core interests - to grow the sport and help continue to strive for international excellence - are the same core interests of the racing community.

The American Bicycle Association (ABA) and Twenty20 have partnered up to bring you a helmet camera perspective of the 2007 nationals. TrackView, set to debut this January on ababmx.tv, will be the first production allowing enthusiasts to see a lap of each track from a rider’s perspective. In conjunction with the ABA’s new BMX (Bicycle Motocross) website, TrackView will now be available for several of the selected tracks this season. ABABMX.tv will also broadcast all 27 ABA National events, with 14 events live!

The last weekend the international indoor of St Etienne took place with a superb track. A big crowd was showed up and was able to come to discover the new MBK BMX range and some of our MTB's. It was also possible for some to collect stickers and autographs of our riders. Regading the Open race on Saturday, two of our riders reached the final. Firstly Peylaboud Fabien (impressive the whole weekend) finishing 6th and Florent Boutte finishing 7th after a bad gate.  In the Elite category on Sunday , Fabien Peylaboud finished

Free Agent Bicycles and USProBikes are pleased to announce the signing of French Superstar and two times  World Champion Thomas Allier to Free Agent. Thomas will focus mainly on French and European events but will still be making appearances at select US National events during the 2007 season. 

Free Agent World Team rider Ramiro Marino was the big winner of the last round of the Argentina National Championships this past weekend.

Dust off those old school rides and haul them out to the NBL Christmas Classic, December 28. The NBL is serving up the KING OF FLATS race on Thursday with a retro-cool display of the oldies. Hey, if you decide to race one of those ol’ rides, NBL will reward you for your courage whether it’s a Skyway TA, CW Phase One, Mongoose, VDC, or any number of other classic bikes. Yeah, the race is only open to 30 & Over Am’s on 20” bikes and its only $20 to play – heck, some of these guys are the ones who help pioneer the early years so it’s a chance for the purists to relive the glory days.

The 2006 ABA season is now done and once again TEAM REDLINE riders have taken home their share of No.1 titles and plates. In an extremely exciting three main showdown, both JASON CARNE$ and BUBBA HARRIS defended their Championships for the year. Tulsa, Ok –November, 2006: ABA’s 2006 race season is now in the history books - and so is TEAM REDLINE rider BUBBA HARRIS. UCI is pleased to announce the track layout of the 2007 UCI BMX World Championships, which will be held 26-29 July 2007 in Victoria BC, Canada. The permanent track will be situated at the Juan De Fuca Recreation Park in Greater Victoria.
