The history of this project is a long one, dating back over seven years with several different proposed locations and site designs. This past August, Toronto’s city council approved funding for the first phase of the Extreme Sports Park project—the BMX park. The BMX course is to be built to Olympic competition standards on the western waterfront of Marilyn Bell Park.
