life-saving procedures. I was in and out of a coma for five weeks. Two months after the accident, I lost my eyesight. I also have no sense of smell or taste, and now have a hearing aid as a result of broken bones in my left ear.
Before the accident, I traveled all over the world judging BMX bike contests. I judged for ten years, prior to that I competed on the pro-circuit. I also worked as a caddie at a private golf club for eighteen years. I worked on a couple television shows and movies, in between travels, as well. My passion, though, has always been BMX. I had a great deal going for me, as I traveled the world doing what I loved and had a job offer to be an International BMX Bike Contest Coordinator. Life was good, or so I thought. That day, January 18, 2008, changed everything. My life now is very limited. I have to rely on others, as I don’t have any vision and have many other complications. I just want my life back! I was a very independent person, and now that has been taken from me.
Not only have I had everything stripped from me, I have incurred millions of dollars in medical expenses not covered by insurance (over $3.4M in CA alone). Out-of-pocket medical expenses continue to this day, as I still require medical care and medications that insurance just will not cover.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. The medical bills keep mounting! Please help me get my life “back on track.”
