We did an interview with Snafu's Mike Collins a few weeks ago. He said he had something up his sleeve but did not want to let it out of the bag. Now is the time. This is what Mike had cooking:
SNAFU WELCOMES PADDY GROSS TO THE TEAM!
Earlier this year, in fact at Interbike this year I was on the hunt for someone to distribute our product in Germany. Coming back from my first experience at the worlds contest and seeing the support and enthusiasm that country has for BMX made me want to find someone or some company whose heart was into our sport and lifestyle. Later that year Achim Kujawski my good friend and Hoffman Bikes Vert rider introduced me to Christoph Huber at Interbike. Christoph was just
starting up his distribution company “UNITY in Germany. We sat down with him and everything clicked. He is a super cool guy who has his finger on the pulse of the Germany scene. We worked everything out and 4 months later UNITY is kicking ass for SNAFU, and we have Christoph and all his shops to thank!
Since our relationship began Christoph and I have talked about putting another German rider on the team, someone that brings something different to the table. Markus was already riding for SNAFU and I mentioned Paddy Gross. I saw Paddy destroy the mini ramp contest at the worlds this year, and he seemed like a super cool guy. Christoph already had a relationship with Paddy so they talked and Paddy was down. So without further ado I would like to be the first to introduce to you the newest member of the SNAFU family Paddy Gross.
If you don’t know who Paddy is get ready because he has plans of traveling to the US this year and spending some time over here. He won the mini ramp contest at the Worlds this year and usually stands out at any session he is involved in. Whether he is pulling some insane technical trick on the mini or just flowing around the park, Paddy has a style all his own. Anyway we are psyched to have him on the team!
