Last summer we did a road trip and made a video out of it. We had a good crew together with Rolf, Colin, Vladdie, Michael and Arnaut and filled up two cars and hit Germany for 7 days. The first two days we went to the Duesseldorf University. That place is amazing, Uni Puni for sure. The next 4 days we spent in Cologne. Slept under a bridge and then managed to work something out with the Jugendpark so we could sleep where the BMX Masters Dirt jumps were. That contest finished a week before we showed up. We rode a bunch of street in Cologne. Thanks to the locals for showing us around.
We drank some (6) half liters of beer and then did agame of PIG which took 2 fucking hours and still ended in a tie. Good fun. Next day we went to the Suzuki BMX Masters park because it rained cats and dogs. We could stay at Nico and his girlfriend's place that night, vet chill, nice people, and left for the Abflugghalle in the morning.
It was three years ago since we rode some dirt since the NBR trails ('t Fort) were taken over by sheep. We got into it real quick though and we rode for a long time.
Michael was ripping with big tricks and jumped the big line showing the FOX racers what's up.
All in all a great experience and I can really recommend it to everybody. Get in the car and see where the journey takes you. Good times with friends, that's wat bmx is all about. Not the competitive part, the fun part! No stress, no obligations, just riding drinking and chilling.
